Ok. Here is a poll. You can pick 2 players. Any 2 from the list.

I don't know a thing about any young prospects.
I just hope Trout picks 2 that have good families
regardless of any medical issues- diabetes etc.
I don't trust doctors, just like Trout

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

Ok I get it. Big fish and Trout. Ha ha. You can't land a big fish when you have a trout. We need to have a Murray Cod instead.

Trout picked Paddy because of the good strong family.magnifisaint wrote:Ok I get it. Big fish and Trout. Ha ha. You can't land a big fish when you have a trout. We need to have a Murray Cod instead.
His other criteria is being in a good 'school' (fishy)
We wait with 'baited' breath for the draft...
Hope nobody 'carps' on about the bad jokes
But we need to 'hook' a beauty

Depends on what angle we take. Will we stick to the plan or do something on the fly? I'm not going to cast a vote here because I don't even know these kids names let alone abilities so I just have to trust the club have set the net wide enough.MickThomas wrote:Trout picked Paddy because of the good strong family.magnifisaint wrote:Ok I get it. Can we contact the Tigers about the best fishing method?
What's their take on motorboating?

Interesting that Bonar is most popular. Must have a good family to go with his dodgy knee. Can we afford anymore risk vs reward decisions.

not so sure about that statement
so of the futhermuckers that were caught in Pedder as
it's water level was rising (consistent smorgasbord of drowning food)
were legendarily huge
my old man n his mates were nailing some humungous rainbows

LDU - wont be there.
Coffield - not what we need although a gun.
I hated stephenson but he does have speed and xfactor at 190cm. Could be brett burton.
I think Cerra and Brayshaw would be our first two.
Im off bonar too. Too risky. 15 year old myth. Get him at 45 if there.
Cerra - Brayshaw
Brayshaw - Stephenson
Stephenson - Higgins/OBrien
Cant see any other way. Fogarty? Reckon he is too SA and this wouldve shown in interviews. If not and he will commit then yep get him.
But any of those combos is great for us. Speed skill Midfielders. We will definetly get hat UNLESS we do somwhing stupid of course

Personally i want Brayshaw and Higgins. Small yes but the two smartest/skilled footballers in the draft. As someone was saying Billings and Greaham ready to step up to midfied - higgins go small forward - monty gone and lonie/minch while good higgins was the best player like gresham was in TAC so It actually fits for us

This for me as well, SMS. Throw in Lochie O'Brien if he somehow drops to 34. A young version of Dal. Bonar is likely to be plucked by Norf at 4. They are super keen, apparently.SMS wrote:Personally i want Brayshaw and Higgins. Small yes but the two smartest/skilled footballers in the draft. "Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

I've got no idea how some of you know the ability of these guys intimately. I have no idea who they are.

I have given him some more thought - and keep in mind I have never seen him play liveCQ SAINT wrote:Interesting that Bonar is most popular. Must have a good family to go with his dodgy knee. Can we afford anymore risk vs reward decisions.
There is massive upside if he never does another knee in his career
is there any chance his first knee was botched by a country doc? and came back a bit too early?
Good size, versatile, plenty of speed, good skills, can find the middle of goals!!! x-factor & CAN MARK OVERHEAD which would be a plus given our current midfield bunch
He has a level head on him, speaks well and he has a bit of a sense of humour and thats always good to have round a club

Poll update.
I f***ed up and managed to lose all the votes.
This is good because it means you all get the joy of voting again.
(It is kind of like a Zimbabwean election where you are friends of the President and get to vote more than once).

I think you'd have to go for Cerra (based on what I've read) if he was available but Reckon he'll go.
Bradshaw would be my other pick.

Re: Poll - Who do you want at pick 7 & 8? Pick 2 players.
IMO many are overrating Bonor. The CT's phantom draft has him around 19 and describes him more as an athletic forward that can spend time in the midfield... my feeling is that with Membrey, Bruce, Paddy, Battle, and Marshall in combination with our lack of true mids... pbly not what we're looking for.
