It’s a recurring nightmare. Lots of chances, nothing to show for it

Wow we butcher the ball.

Until we have an administration that demands success and a playing group that bleeds for the guernsey, St. Kilda will just be a sh*tty football club.

Easy game plan against us, just wait for the turnover.

Endeavour from the midfield shown but 22 inside 50s count for didley squat if you can't take a mark or kick a goal - and that's everyone!

This is a team game and there is no room for individuals who think they are above walking through the fire.

fantastic tackle by dunstan. more of that please fellas!
type of play that can change a game - but of course we stuff it up inside fifty.

Yawn... nothing new to see here.
- Richo getting outcoached- tick
- Inaccurate goal kicking -tick (Dicko has been a revelation)
- Turnovers galore and horrendous skil -tick
- One goal a quarter -tick
- 10 goal thumping- gonna happen

So first qtr assessment, absolutely no response as promised from the saints, just more of the same. Tackling is average, skill execution no improvement. Have to start only picking players who can kick and handball properly.

Agree

What’s the point of tall forwards if we won’t use them, you know, in the forward line?

Another disgusting quarter of footy.
Poor decisions from senior players.
Woeful kicking.
Seb Ross totally disinterested. Not even pretending to try.
Lonie flat out embarrassing. Looks like an under 12s kid.

Umps kept us in it.

Dumb coaching. Dumb players.

From what I can see the long option is 3/2 to 1.

Meanwhile the short unmanned option is always ignored.

Time after time we choose to kick to 2 or 3 to 1s. Why?

The Cats keep looking for whomever is unmanned and then kick to them.

WTF?? Where is our forward line? We are constantly kicking to 1 v 2 FFS!!! 22 to 18 inside 50's. This is s***!!

By the way, where is our savior Lonie, richardson?

We are slow weak and lack skill.
Geelong have a bunch of kids playing but they look like professional players. Our blokes look like suburban players.

Kick to Hickey 1 in 2 ball spills loose and not one small St.Kilda forward anywhere in the area.

Lonie just can't cut it at AFL level sadly. Long and Coffield doing a lot more than him.

Also why do our players take possession of the ball when they know they will be tackled.

Case in point was Billings who could see the Cat running at him..but he gathered anyway only to handle to a Cat to set up a goal.

If you know you will be tackled just keep tapping it on. Do not gather the ball.

How many times we kicked it to 2 or 3 on 1, especially going forward, I lost count. Paddy had 2 on him most occasions - very frustrating for the forwards.. There must be free players. Forward strategy certainly needs a rejig.
