Another Fable from my Stable

Ok, now this is not my usual connection that I trust implicitly.
It was a person in the media who is connected to someone in the AFL.

She claims that a person unnamed approached 2 Saints supporters about paying out Richos contract on Friday night.

She said she wanted to run the story but received a call from an AFL official about not getting involved and they'd owe her one. She
may or may not have dated my son years ago. Only twice has she coughed up a story once before when she talked to me about Roo seriously considering leaving the club for the Pies and that he asked if the team didn't make significant changes he would accept the offer because he felt he wasn't playing for the Saints anymore, just for a hollow ideal. True or not? Dunno.

Is this rumour true? Dunno. Is she doing this to stir me? Possibly.
But she talked to me and then later the story broke about the Pies offering Roo a gold nugget and he "quickly" rejected the rumours/offer ( after being assured the club was doing a 100% about face).

Like I said maybe it b.s. but I never got that vibe from her, although I'm pretty sure she owes me $49 for fuelling her car when she left her bag at ****. But a decade has passed so we we I'll call it a gift.
If you're reading this I told you I'd post it.

If I wasn't leaving today I'd chase this rumour, ring her up and press her, Good bye internet for a few weeks and then I'll be back to stir the pot once I return to the hemisphere.

Does the Navy send you away for a few weeks? You'd have to be pretty special for that I would think. And you would have to be posted in Canberra I would guess.

That's a fair point. I find when I am on a business trip it is usually a pretty full schedule. Nights are either socialising with customers and co-workers, or preparing for the next day. Jet lag in yet another hotel room and I just want to sleep.
