Not a bad fit for them. He's above average in ruck work and apparently is great at 'blocking' so could at least give their star midfield first use. Longer and Pick 63 for Pick 47 and 2019 3rd round pick?

Longer’s ruck work is of very high quality? His taps may look good, it’s just a shame that he doesn’t get his hand to it often enough and his last run against Gawn is hardly a positive endorsement.

That being said, I’ve suspected Geelong have been interested in him for a while. They probably fancy their chances of developing him properly, unlike us who just can’t develop players, let along rucks. You know what, I think they’re probably right!
