They are trying to trade pick 4 for a top 10 pick plus a second round pick. This means no Max King. Well done lads.

Max King at 4 if available!

If they do anything else they should be sacked immediately!

ST KILDA concedes it didn't know the full extent of prized recruit Dan Hannebery's struggles with his body when it traded for him.

So you would be happy to use PICK 4 IN THE NATIONAL DRAFT ON A PLAYER THAT IS RECOVERING FROM A FULL KNEE RECONSTRUCTION? Would you also be happy to use pick 1 in the National Draft on a Diabetic?

We don't need yet another tall with a severe injury or health issue

We need a midfielder with pace and skill - bring on Bailey Smith!

I'd be very surprised if we traded down...if any club needs to nail a top 4 pick this year it's us. Geez, I'd be happy if we managed to trade up, but sadly not possible.

Stephenson with a heart condition comes to mind
A certain ex full forward with asthma also
What about a midfielder with a drug addiction or an all time great with a mental impairment.
Should we trade out immediately anyone who does an acl?

Are people aware this top end midfield group 3 or 4 mids are meant to be the best since 2001? So you think the stupidity of trading one of them for a top 10 pick and a nothing second round pick is good?

Is this just based off the inevitable wrong decision we will make and not draft a mid wth pick 4?

We did not.
They fell for West Coast's we aren't interested in Judd con.
Took Ball at 2 expecting to find Judd still available at 5.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Then took snapper hamstring Clarke at 5 instead of Bartell.

Understand that, more pointing out that getting scared off someone because of injury concerns is fraught with danger. If the people in charge think that King is the best prospect, they should back themselves and the player to make it.

The idea of trading 4 for a top 10 and second (6 & 24) was because it was very likely we would get the mid we would have picked at 4, at 6, and have a bonus pick. Smith now apparently sliding to at least 7, so was a good strategy. But GC not interesting in pursuing. So probably keep 4 and looks like King, just ahead of Rozee. Any of the top 7 look pretty good.

We need a Top 6 (maybe 7) selection.

Swapping 4 for pick 8 or later would seem to be a real step down in likely quality.

I despise Gallagher and Libba for what they have done to my club. They will be gone in 5 years and won't care but it's the supporters who are left behind to suffer.

Max King & Jack Bytel are both future stars. King will follow in the footsteps of Nick Riewoldt & Bytel is a clearance machine. Very lucky to get the both of them & we only did due to their injuries.
