Great effort. Phillips is a prototype for a modern wingman Saynta. Tallish midfielder, good skills, accumulates stats, can take a mark and most importantly, he has the ticker to run like an Ethiopian marathon runner all game. Could be just as good as Tom at Collingwood.

Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Hopefully can keep improving.

Kind of came out of nowhere last season... very little written about him not unlike Clavarino... then was in the team and playing well

Captain just recovering from a op and/or a minor knee injury though.

From saints.com

'Geary has rarely been beaten in his long tenure at the club, but with a delayed start to the pre-season due to a minor knee injury, it was Phillips who took the honours."

I've always wondered why Geary's running ability hasn't been more exploited in terms of further up the ground. I could see him playing a pretty handy tagging role which would release Steele to be abit more attacking

Would be next to innefective offensively.

I do too.

There are times though where he could do well in such a role, i.e. on Isaak Smith last year.
