Great news. This guy looks like being the bargain of the year. Can't remember the last time I've seen a first year players look so composed.

Well done.

Absolutely deserves it.

going out on a limb here.
If he keeps at it, and can be consistent (and being sort of mature age, you'd expect so)
we'll be comparing him to Alex Rance, Dane Rampe, Michael Talia, etc, at least in terms of his defensive nous,
efforts, and impact.

I saw his video highlights from last years Sth Aussie grand final. I would say that all his kicks and handballs hit their intended target. 100% accuracy.

Great news.

Need to get Parker signed up too.

LOL - I do not believe anyone would include sprayed kicks in their highlight reel!

He’ll only get better with another preseason or two under his belt.

Imagine what he will be like after 50 games!

Great story.
Love this guy.
Obviously feel for Dylan Roberton but Wilkie has been a great get.
Good work by Chris Liberatore.

You know your going well when the loss of Roberton has not been felt hardly as much as we thought it would. I would say he would be fairly low cost along with Parker Hind and Young.
Very happy with this work from the club.

When they say signs until 2021, I assume that means the end of 2021.
As a rookie he was only signed to a one year deal, 2019.
This would mean he has been extended for two more years.
The club has seen enough and want to retain him long term.
He will most likely be upgraded to the senior list at the first opportunity.

My list of players still not signed after 2019 are
Armitage
Austin
Billings
Brown
Carlisle
Dunstan
Geary
Gresham
Longer
McKenzie
Marshall
Newnes
Rice
Savage
Sinclair
White
Marsh
Rowe
Joyce
Pierce
Langlands

Desperately looking to see Billings, Carlisle, Gresham, Marshall locked in.

Callum is the perfect example of why we need to continually hit up the state leagues for talent with our later picks. Marsh is a great get as well.

We have given up nothing - literally - to get them both on our expanded list. We gave up national draft picks for Parker/Hind/Young, but at least they were relatively late.

I'm a huge believer in getting ruckmen and KPP's out of the state league with the low-worth picks, as they nearly always mature later, and at different speeds. Rowan Marshall is a great example of that.

The freak talents will always get inside the top 30 at u18 level, but the ones who are prepared to risk it all aren't usually blooming until 21, when they have worked the others into the ground. They arrive desperate and ready, knowing full well that they can't take anything for granted.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Agreed. I would save that Austin, Dunstan, Newnes, Sinclair and Langlands are the next bracket down in clearly being worthy of more development.

And Geary is a lock regardless
