How do we really know what our recruitment & development is like. If you liken them to cars it is like buying a brand new car, driving it around the paddock for too long whilst you continue to drive your beaten up Hyundai Excel to and from work...then complain each time it breaks down.

We need to recruit our way out of this ... our recruitershave let us down over the last 10 years or so and need to go.
starting with the coach
Maybe he’ll at least stop trying to turn players into things they’re not

Aka Bruce in the ruck. That’s still happening

The same managers that construct zero system, and players that don't know what to do, and are full of self belief cannot recruit suitably since they can't know who to place into the failed system.
Our coach and development have killed so many potential guns.
They certainly have. Richardson is such a clueless and bland coach. His press conferences are an embarrassment to any club that that is truly professional and that's why this club has turned into a joke. We are miles away from being a genuine finals contender and today's game is purely embarrassing.

Yes, that is one of our three forward line strategies.
1) No forward pressure.

Combine that with
2) the long bombs to no-one forward entry game plan, and
3) woeful inaccurate kicking.

What bothers me about the recruiting theory is that apparently it’s reasonable to think that we have got it sooooo incredibly wrong each and every time

12.3 to 5.8. Fifteen shots to 13 yet we are 37 points down. Our forward set up is putrid and continues to deny reward for effort.

Open it up FFS.

Try some something. Switch Bruce and Battle. I dunno, try something

Puzzling really considering we picked a small forward line.

Remembering Plugger

Post: # 1795603Post the dome »

No key forward in 100 years has been able to outmark 4 defenders consistently.
[/quote]You obviously didn't see Plugger!

I remember week in week out when Plugger marked around 50 or closer the Sainter crowd immediately relaxed, Plugger was always more likely to thread it than fluff it. Glad to have witnessed Plugger show how it's done - & regularly.
Back in the day.

Gave up watching well before HT. Port were getting goal after goal after our players were being fouled downfield but no free given. Good luck to Port, if you were fouling your opponent and getting away with it, why not keep doing it?
And don't start me off about this useless fixture being our Home game. Whoever agreed to that should hang their heads in shame.

Watch for Richo to blame this on Trump’s tariffs on China, the Shanghai smog or the dodgy lemon chicken.
Laughable.

Decision making is putrid.
Kicking for goal is pathetic.
Clearance work is awful.
Skill level is laughable.
Ability to defend is non existent.

Same rubbish every week.

Port are home. We can’t kick over 10 goals, so they’re already out of reach.
Nope nothing will essentially change whilst Richardson remains head coach. We can shift the deck chairs around all we like, change the officers and seaman, but whilst the captain remains incompetent, we ain’t going nowhere.
Ithink its telling that every time they have the camera on Richo he's not doing anything or talking to anyone. Just has the same blank look in his face. He's got nothing He's done.

Happy to take on the recruiting argument, it's like buying 80 cars, with a 15% chance of getting a lemon (generous) and getting the lemon in 60 occasions, work out that probability!

You can't be serious. Why do we have to make umps the excuse. We are downright dreadful today.

As far as I am concerned, there are very few on our list shouldn't be available for trade at the end of the year.
We have no one who would be nothing than a token selection in the initial All Australian side.

No doubt we can look forward to a match conference that blames the players, blames the illness and a week of forumites telling us how Saints are on track to play finals, be positive and how Hannebery is the plus

Just be glad you aren't here....I say this with all due respect to our players and staff....the flavour sitting here live is that we do not give a sh1t. Players standing on the side having a laugh and talking about sight seeing....No passion, No desire to fight, No loyalty to the members....who ARE THE CLUB.

This is the most gutless and cowardly performances by this club this season. Richo must be fired immediately....to have a team full of players who do not give a damn and refuse to fight regardless of being a rookie or a senior means you've lost them Richo....
