Sorry - caught the tail end of the news cast. Have been corrected on here by another poster - he is a Federal Court Judge. Very high profile case though.

My. Wow. Mordi was my mates favorite player in around 1979?...ish. I think it was a Jewish thing. Smart guy and great player we never saw much of. Actually think my namesake might also be a lawyer. Which makes me super smart too.

My old man said the same thing. He was a very average player but then the team was quite ordinary in those days. He recalls St Kilda had a rare win in an Escort Cup night game around 1980, possibly against East Perth (as they had SA and WA teams involved) and he actually won the Ch 7 colour tv for best player. The old man reckons it was a scrappy, poor game and he stood out that night with his red coloured boots and trademark beard, which may have helped him get over the line with Lou and the commentary team.

My mate and his dad did renovations at his home in East St Kilda years ago.
He played with us around the same time as Russell Greene, Russell Tweeddale, Don Discher and Dean Herbert, that sort of era.
At least he got to play at the top level, and was a regular player for a while too, was on a Scanlens footy card too as I remember - albeit in the bottom side, although we would win three or four games a year so we must have been better than at least a few teams (on our day).

Not good when it influences his decisions. Call me old-fashioned but I like a judiciary that makes decisions based on the law rather than on personal political preference. If they’re genuine refugees under the law then let them stay. But if they’re not, apply the law.
