The one thing I took from that was
Long to play down back?

Love the message he gave the boys though. It’s exactly what we have needed. The young ones to push the seniors out of their spot. Would love to see Sandy pushing up the ladder in the VFL, with that flowing over to the AFL.

I had a bit of a chuckle though, as he said "Love what Gears is trying to do" I took that as [trying to kick the footy] and [can somebody please take his spot? I'm a new coach and would get linched if I dropped him] :wink:

Ratts will be very good for us

I'm not sure Long in defence can be successful, happy to be proven wrong.

Longy down back. Don't we have enough HBF already.

I liked the speech as well. You want a career then work hard for it. Be the best at your position and you play regardless of who played there last year.
