Geary takes the reins for the fourth consecutive year, with Seb Ross appointed vice-captain after the midfielder performed the role of acting captain for the majority of Season 2019.

The pair are supported by Tim Membrey, Dylan Roberton, Jack Billings and Bradley Hill in a leadership group which was voted in by the players, coaches and football staff.

Congrats Jarryn, best of luck for the season. Hopefully those backing him into the position can work harder, follow his example and take us into the 8. I'd be very happy for him to toss the coin in a final. Although it is still my opinion that the required improvement, may see him watching from tje coaches box, I wish him well.

I don't agree with this decision. I just hope Geary plays well and fully deserves his spot in the side. If his form is down and not deserving of a spot (which I suspect is more than a 50 50 chance), then the s*** will hit the fan.

My original thoughts were that Geary should play only if we were hit by injuries and his form was good in the seconds. I stick by this but the club know better than me. Time will tell.
