Sinclair and Parker

Post: # 1854982Post skeptic »

Liked them both a lot tonight...
SInclair got a bit of ball and moved it quickly even if a few of his disposals lacked finesse. Great return after a long lay off. He’s a smart player and was bothersome to Port all night.

Parker didn’t get a lot of it nor did things really go his way... but he was really present. Thought his attack was first rate and really got into he opposition’s face tonight. Really liked this kid’s mongrel. Hope he gets another go.

Parker not up to it but handy depth.

Sinclair was very good.

This is why deep depth is so important.

Hind was ok too.

Parker had a couple of chances that would have given his stat sheet a much nicer appearance... One sitter of a goal shanked, and another shot with advantage taken for a goal by another. Still, I like him as a change of pace for Lonie, brings something different.

Was surprised by Parker’s selection as he just got back from a long lay off... will be better for the run.

Sinclair was ok. Parker wasn't unfortunately. Starting to think he is below AFL, at the moment at least

Sincs was great, particularly early on.

Parker did not do much at all.

Sinclair's field kicking has a lot of the Richo's about it.

He looks like Ned Flanders' Dad.

Parker's game was decent. No passengers today.

need depth. that's all they are. parker very rusty. sincs got a bit early but wasted it, gets a lot under no pressure so should do a lot better with it.

Like Parker but would’ve got more value out of Lonnie - I was surprised he was dropped TBH

Absolutely... but one has to measure this against reasonable expectations. First game for the year after a longish injury lay off and no reserves.

Performances like that won’t keep Parker in the team for long if he doesn’t build on them but regardless, I loved his presence and his attack. Was really in the opponents faces all night, Like was posted elsewhere, could have had two goals as well.

Hope he can build on it... otherwise yes, Lonie will be back. Will be fighting for his spot.

Liked Hinds game also. Did some nice things and pressure was good. Thought all 3 had their moments. Keep them in for mine. Ross will get a week at least with calf so Hanners hopefully gets his spot next week.

I hope Lonie was not really dropped but the selectors are rotating running players to give them breaks through this and the next 4 weeks.
Hannebury likely to come in but Ross may be injured / rested.

Ah, Hanners is out for weeks and weeks and weeks. Might need surgery.

Reinjured the hammy at training.

Jimmy also strained a hamstring in the scratch match - 3/4 weeks. Report says he’ll be back before Hanners.

Sinclair good early then was his usual in and out

Parker not great but was obviously very rusty - benefit of the doubt but surprised if he keeps his spot

Sinclair could be in best 22 - good disposal and should be hungry after a lay off
Parker - jurys out, looked way off tonight for me, fumbled, dropped marks, missed a goal, needs to take his opportunities - depth player

For a few games last year Parker kept us in it or won the game.
People tend to forget he showed alot of promise.

He is tall and is seriously dangerous in the air (unlike Lonie)

Will be interesting to watch his progress....could be a weaponcould fade out.

If there were 2 players I reckon suffered and may never recover during the Richo Ride....Sinclair and Acres.
Whatever coaching guidance, input and correction they needed...they didnt get it.
Sad we lost Acres, he could've thrived.

It’s going to be hard for the guys coming in on the back of a couple of scratch matches. This is another level completely. Thought Sinclair was ok and happy to cut Parker some slack.

Sincliar and Hind were both good and earnt their spots. Parker missed a couple of chances to add enough value to his role.

Sincs uses the ball well. First half was excellent when our rucks were not on top as much. Second half quieter, though Gresh did rise in the second half after a quiet first half.

Sinclair and Hind did enough to hold their spot
Parker’s spot will be under review depending on who we have available to come back. May yet hold his spot one more week if Hannabery and Battle are not available. Wouldn’t mind seeing him for one more game.

Good to see tea selection worked
Bit worried that Parker hadn’t played in a long time but got through and did a bit
Sinclair and hind good.
Hope we still have the luxury of rotation as other teams injuries grow.

Sinclair is leaner and fitter you can see he is in the peak fitness of his life. He played well he is a valuable player in this list and no one gets easy games anymore so he will be playing out of his skin to keep his career alive. He did well.
Parker was rusty he didn’t look great but he brings physicality and some menace that Lonie cannot... if you blended both you would have a gun player so on the fence with Parker.
Let’s see who gets that spot next week.
