So Lonie was just holding Kent spot while he had a rest

We will miss Clark, but he will come back refreshed

Don’t like Hunter being one of our best ball users.

Yeah Hunter our could hurt our backline.

We needs more Hunter’s kicking out of there and less Geary’s!

Resting Clark three weeks too late. Could've/should've been back refreshed ready for this one.

Clark out hurts, but good ins. Rayner back for them, doesn't help our cause. Carlise important with their talls. Hipwood in good form.

Glad we have Ryder this time around as from memory, they gave us a touch up in the ruck. No Martin this time so we should have the ascendencey but McInereney is a good ruckman. Hoping to hell Bytel has a ripper and Geary or Paton can keep Cameron quite. He killed us last time. 5 goals or abouts. Ross needs to shut down Neale.

We need to take our chances early so Im hoping our forwards are on. Would love Maxy to break the 3 goal barrier this week. Lions have looked tired last few games, they're struggling to run them out. They barely made it across the line last week against the Roos VFL side, so if we can keep up with them till 3qrt time, their getable. Im hoping we can blow them out of the park in the 4th.

Great to see Bytel retained.

Clark looked tired last 2 games. Better to rest then risk.

Huge game.

Would rather they had rested Clark last week. Needed more against the Lions than the Bombers.

Not happy to see umpire #2 officiating, he's not my favorite.

Umpire Nick Foot (number 2) will be worth 2 extra players to them going on past form.

I have posted his stats in Saints games previously and they are disturbing.

He first came to my notice in a closely fought Richmond game at the MCG some years ago when the umpires, predominantly Foot, awarded Richmond 9 frees (many extremely doubtful) within 30 to 40 metres of the Richmond goal and Saints did not receive one free in the forward 50 the whole game. The balance of frees awarded was also very much in Richmond's favour almost exclusively due to Foot, and they had a narrow win. His bias has been apparent in all his Saints games since.

Interestingly they don't seem to appoint Leigh Fisher anymore to Saints games but it is at least 3rd time this year we have copped Foot.

Interesting to note that
Would love to see umpire free kick stats released with the location in frees paid in the ground also denoted
I don’t see why they’re beyond scrutiny infect I think it’s still a murky area of the game

I love Hunter Clarke but I thought he was poor last week in both games. We've had a 7 day break so I'm surprised we're 'resting' him in such an important game. I can only assume rest means injured. Glad Lonie isn't in. I thought he was serviceable but I don't trust him and I certainly don't think he's the answer moving fwd. Kent has been in reasonable form. Stronger body so can hold tackles. We need him and Butler up and about giving that pressure in the fwd line.

Time for Seb Ross to step up I reckon. He won our B&F last year. Enough of the rubbish excuses that he's playing a role etc etc. We need him wining the ball and hitting targets. Our midfield is very ordinary, particualrly against top teams, unless every one of them is playing close to their best.

I would have liked to see Parker in. Just feels right. If he can’t get a game here then I think his days are numbered. Pity because I think he could be the player that applies most forward line pressure. Disappointing.
