I get that but I’m tired of being “gee opponent lost last round so they’ll be really fired up...we might not turn up”
If we can’t beat Hawks and comfortably then I don’t want to play finals cause we are fakes
Step up saints own the moment and do what good sides do - put them to the sword.
The irony is the Hawks of old have done that to us many times....

I think we are trying. Seriously giving it a crack, but what else could they have done? Assuming the Saints players were following the game plan, they just couldn't execute well enough.
We have injuries and form issues, and perhaps selection issues. Perhaps that hungry you speak of should apply to the selectors.

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Our injuries aren’t as bad as some but get hungry means coaching also needs to step up for sure
No excuses this week none
Actually not even worried about this weeks game

Acres fit and in the Fremantle side v Richmond

How valuable would he be deployed to the St Kilda midfield?

A class footballer we will regret losing

Exactly. The Hawks match will be just a bit of slap and tickle.

The following match is a better measuring stick.

I said at the start of this season and before CV, that anything short of a top 8 finish would be a step backwards, and although it's only the Asterisk Cup, I still think that, so 5th to 8th is about where we should be at the end of 2020. A win against the Eagles or GWS and loss in a final wouldn't give fertile ground for predictions of bigger things when the full strength comp starts again. That's a good position to be in based on our current weaknesses and stage of development.

Really. Seriously. What an absolute disgrace of a spectacle the game is. I can't take it seriously. Q4 and 7 goals. I don't recognise it. An amateur footballer would get kick in this comp.

Our games against Brisbane and Melbourne were both very scrappy, defensive games

I don’t have the interest to go thru scores game by game across the competition but is there an incidence of low scoring both in games and by some losing sides?

So defenders dominating including because of numbers back - so neutralise the centre square when 6/6/6 then putting numbers back?

Hence the scraps and the trouble scoring?

Has the AFL lost its efforts to make the game more open leading to higher scoring?

And, if so, what will they do next with the rules?

We really have to capitalise on Ryder when 6/6/6

And (ex Butler) our “small forwards” need to get front and centre
