Big Fish No 2
More to come but there is word starting to get out we are going after another big fish. No idea on who it is. The club is keeping things very in house these days like Crouch.
It had to wait for Crouch to nominate us and Caldwell's decision but a big fish no 2 might be swimming into RSEA Park for 2021.

Do it. You know you want to. Look at last year. We aren't finished. The pizza oven is on pre-heat.

Not enough ingredients to make a small Aussie at this point in time, lets see what happens after the trade and FA circus.johnearljames wrote: ↑Sat 24 Oct 2020 11:37pmDo it. You know you want to. Look at last year. We aren't finished. The pizza oven is on pre-heat.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

I would rather they spent their time trying to get a good player to the club than game fishing off the reef.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Steven from Geelong? Starved of opportunities in Regional Victoria (Starved in a figurative sense; actually he looks well fed).

Re: Big Fish No 2
I have absolutely no idea.
But, in the interests of making a speculative, not to mention sporting declaration, I am going to suggest we are chasing Brodie Grundy.
Why? I hear you ask, would we be chasing a guy on $ 1 million a year who just signed a 7 year contract?
The answer is precisely that reason. The contract has put the filth in serious salary cap peril. Something has to give or go.
Why wouldn’t we be chasing the league’s best ruckman if we could get him?
Of course I could be completely wrong about any or all of this.

Too old and deluded to think he is a replacement for GAblett Jnr

Re: Big Fish No 2
Saint Lee said this on another thread.
After last trade period and with the prospect of Crouch getting on board I trust if who ever it is is gettable they'll get him.
Sounds interesting.SAINT-LEE wrote: ↑Fri 23 Oct 2020 7:03pm I saw my mate today who has been solid in years past with the club trade/draft crumbs he's let fall from table.
But he's being more cryptic and assholeish than normal.
I asked wazup.
He says a huge trade is being worked on...not confirmed but all hands on deck working hard to get it done.
I says Caldwell, he says he was never interested in Saints.
I say deGoey, he laughs.
I throw out Cameron, all 6 departing Giants, McDonald, Hogan, Brown....all no.
So I says, what position?
He tells me its not a midfielder.
Then says no more hints or guesses.
I feel that conversation was almost as limp as me sharing this post
I am hoping by constant drilling Ill get info.
Last year he gave me a gem and it came true. But said I couldn't repeat it or he'd never trust me.
I told my wife, she didnt give a fluff.
If you're on here spying on me you bastard, yes, I did squeal to the missus. Give me a morsel or Ill die you damn rooster.
