Great news. I think he'll be a long term player.

That's amazing. Bloody fantastic. I love Benny - he's really helped transform our backline into one that attacks; not just grimly defends. Not sure why only two years though - I tend to think that Hunter, Ben and Coff will all be 200 game players for us. Fair draft for us that one (finally)

Ben arguably the pick of the draft given he was #46 from memory.

Agree 3 x 200 game potential players from one draft is huge.
Fair to say Coffield & Hunter have A grade abilities and could become A grade and Ben a very solid long term B grader. Massive haul from that draft.

I think Ben will absolutely get to A grade in his position - and pronto. This is the end of 2020 which, in real terms is his second season (played 3 in 2018). In his 2nd season - he put away ... Castagna; Cameron; Papley; Betts; and Gray. That's pretty much all of the best small forwards.

I think 2 years seems to be a re-signing trend across the league at the moment given the uncertainty around list numbers, salary caps etc. long contracts are avoided in uncertain times across most industries - unless it’s needed on the high end to entice a star across from another club.
Nice to see Collingwood suffering with Treloar on a 5 year deal and Grundy’s form drop off once he signed his long term beast of a contract.

Love having the 3 boys locked in together, and have no doubt Ben can be as good as Coff and Hunter.

He has been the lockdown defender and the other two given greater license to roam.

Watch Benny in2021 hit his straps like he just started doing in the last few rounds with his attacking game.

Would have been happy with 3 years for him

Great news!!! An All Australian back pocket IMO. The 3 amigos will be the core to our success, hopefully bookended by the Kings. Let the dynasty begin!

Now, hope Bytel is the next signing announced.

We will be as good as, if not better than Caldwell.
