The Injectors have to get Saad done very early to be able to then get Caldwell or Dunkley. That's so against Dildoro's nature - Carlton will bend him over.

I love that Brisbane won't trade for Daniher. Essendon may match - but Joe would rather retire than keep playing there if it all turns to crap. Essendon is desperate to get Dunkley but I don't think they'll have the draft pick to get him AND Dunkley.

This is going to be fun.

Jy Caldwell asked to be traded to Essendope.
Makes him a dope in my eyes.

But two days into trade period nothing has happened.
Clearly Dildo and GWS did not come to an agreement on the trade before the start of trade period.
Two days and no talk of a deal.
This move is not done.

Caldwell does not become an Essendon player until Dildo does the deal.
A polite inquiry from St Kilda may help Dildo pay overs or maybe Jy can be turned into a Saint after all.

I just wonder how many deals Essendon will get done. Last year they couldn’t even do one, while we picked up five players.
There’s probably a lot of other deals that will have to wait for Essendon to do something. It might be a good year to sit back and see if anyone is desperate enough to do what Hawks did a few years ago to get a deal done.

Essendon has picks 6 and 7 but Dildo has those tucked down his shorts.
Then they have 48, 67, 73 ,78, 85

St Kilda has 17 locked away in the bank vault.
Then 64, 77, 93

Both sides have players on the trade table
and both sides have future picks with Essendon's probably 10 picks ahead of St Kilda's

I have a feeling that Essendon are trying to copy what we did last year.

Surely we should have a quiet word to GWS to see what they would want, and if we could make that happen.. ie pick 17. (Jy would be like a new draftee with more development). And then remind Jy's manangement that we are stil interested and inform him of his role rotating through the midfield & playing finals.

Then trade Seb to Don's and use that pick to get Treloar (with pies paying 250k+ of his salary). That would be magic. Make it happen Gags.

Caldwell went at pick 11 in the 2018 draft.
Dildo is offering a future second round (probably around 30).
Meanwhile he sits on picks 6 & 7 and is demanding pick 8 for Saad plus no return.

Must be a nightmare talking to the king dick.
I hope GWS say no trade.

Now Essendon could then try to get through the pre season draft.
Caldwell gets to specify his financial requirements but can NOT include a $200,000 a year job for his father.
That makes him a bargain for any of Adelaide, North, Sydney, Hawthorn or Gold Coast.
If the drafting club meets his financial requirement with out Dad's job he has to accept.

I can not see Clarkson resisting the temptation.

Ahhh the pitfalls of dealing with Essendon & Didoro. Wanting a FRDP for Orazio (truly fantasia), a player who couldn't break into their injury riddled, poorly performing best 22. Yet Caldwell is a future 2nd.

The only club that should deal with Essendon is ASADA.

That's why I was always keen on Caldwell - he's effectively a draftee but having been developed for 2 years. It's not like he's got any worse than pick 11 (notwithstanding Dildo thinking he's got 20 draft spots worse) but I also get why we need to draft a kid this year in order to then trade picks in later years for Ben King.

Even leaving Caldwell aside - getting rid of Ross would make me happy; let alone bringing in a Treloar-like replacement AND having the filth pay some of his salary. That's the stuff of my list management wet dreams

Paid way overs in hindsight.

IMO no Clint was a handy player & could get the ball but his foot skills were only marginally better than Jack Daniels.

CJ had the worst kicking style. So awkward. At least he knew it and rarely tried to kick it over 20m. Gun tagger though. Kept plenty of good players quite.

Not quite understanding the over the top enthusiasm for Caldwell.

Anyone would think he is an A grade world beater.

Reality check. Played a total of 11 AFL games. Was not a regular in the Giants best 18.

Has potential, is the most you could say about him. Maybe potential.

If we get Higgins to go with Crouch and McKernan plus a Frawley, then I don't think we need a Caldwell.

Just saying.

We rated him highly enough to make him our first target for the trade period. He was pick 11 in a very strong draft, picked ahead of Butters and Duursma. Also, played 9 out of 17 games this season in a strong team..
