Pretty much what Gallagher said today. Things can change over the next week, though. Not so much with the Treloar situation, but with Higgins. I still think that one is in play, but may depend on us moving one or two players out. Gallagher was firm on us keeping our first pick

When Ben signed the one year extension Lethers was door stoped at Moorabbin and he said something along the lines of “that’s fine, let Ben develop up on the Gold Coast”. Another year of Ben and Max at different clubs being the main targets allow them both to grow quickly. And when playing together in 2022 they will 2 of the best 5 forwards in the comp.

I’d rather leave it at Crouch for this year. Allows us to give Clark and Bytel more midfield time in 2021 and free up some cap space for a FA. There are some big names potentially up for grabs next year.

Some folks are pretty certain we’re getting Ben King either at the end of 2021 or 2022. He’s contracted until the end of 2022 so GC have all the power. No certainty at all he’ll end up a Saint.

He will be used to being the big dog at end GC days and I can not see the appeal of coming in to saints to live in Max’s shadow as a CHB...Dogs supposedly said they’d have a serious crack if he comes out and he’d be miles ahead of Bruce
Yes the FA list looks good next year....but how many of them become realistically gettable? How many re-sign at their clubs while we fight it out with multiple clubs for what’s left?
Treloar is here and now. He improves us immediately in an area we need it. IF Pies get desperate, pay a chunk of his salary over 5 and take a second rounder to get rid of him.....you do it
Facts are no one is banging down our door for Ross, Dunstan, Roberton, Webster.......tells you plenty.....good depth players but they’re getting paid some serious coin as we were Shyte a few years back....truth is we probably need 2 of them gone to fit Treloar in and I can’t see that occurring while lists are being reduced.......clubs won’t be rushing to take offcuts

I would hope that was Wednesday and Thursday past, because Trades finish this coming Thursday.

I think “Stevo” makes more sense.

I feel clubs will pick up him, Phillips and the Yank cheap early this week to help fix the Pies salary cap problem and Treloar will go because a trade will be made with a club with cap room after failing to land their intended targets e.g. Essendon missing out on Dunkley or Geelong missing out in Cameron
