Are we allergic to Future Second Round picks?

Post: # 1882420Post diddley »

Another one out the door.
Have not kept one since future trading started.
Not that I am complaining. The best one so far was for Steele.
Still stoked we kept a first round pick for this year, and next year.
Pretty sure we will be going to spend 2 x first next year though.

😂 thought the same thing. It’s like it’s not even a pick

Second round picks are in high demand.
Clubs with early father-son and academy picks have always wanted to move their first round picks clear and use multiple second round picks instead.
We prefer to trade in known quantity players instead of first round picks that only get wasted by the recruitment team.

Maybe your question is best answered by saying if you go to the bank for loan you usually end up with a second rounder.
That is because your credit limit is no more than a first rounder.
You can borrow a second, third and fourth if you don't borrow a first.
If you live beyond your means you are constantly borrowing.
