Hanners
Pretty sure he just went from 3-4 weeks to 3-6 weeks. This is after the perennial 1-2 weeks

Re: Hanners
Ask Dan if his contract can be made public. I'd volunteer to look for any get out provisions e.g. if cannot play, which might be a fundamental obligation on his part not just attend physio. Surely. What's a fair payout.

Re: Hanners
Agree. The main hope is he has some gumption and works out a reasonable pay out figure with the club.
Just another of the decades long list of failed trades to the club.

Front loaded.
Still making a killing but heavily performance based.

Re: Hanners
The Saints could have just donated that $800K a year to charity. they'd get the same onfield benefit they get now.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Hanners
I think of it as half paid by the AFL..we are on their drip.
But not a good long term prognosis for a club and a bit embarrassing.
Face it, nobody wanted to come to us and we had 'no class' players..

F@rk him off, take the pain and punishment now.
Put this disaster recruitment behind us, learn from it and move forward.
For a proud and former elite athlete, Dan must be very embarrassed by his performance at StKilda.

Should change his name by deed poll to "WOFTAM".

Re: Hanners
You have to pay someone in this crazy system.
I guess we could have thrown an extra 300k at six tackle Jack Newnes or something..

Re: Hanners
Stuff training and just get on the field. Dustin Fletcher barely trained in the end and got a game every week. Hanners won our time trial, if anyone can play without training he can.
Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"

Re: Hanners
Or retained a guy like Bruce who is a solid C+ to B grade AFL player and provided us with good service whilst at the club.
F@rk Hannebery, he should be charged with receiving money under false pretenses and those who signed him with aiding and abetting

Re: Hanners
Didnt mind his contract as 'banking ' the $$ for the future due to salary cap - which I've posted here recently - BUT I was then reminded of Treloar - if we could have 'retired' Hannebery when Treloar was potentially available to us that would have been ideal - As it stands now Hanners is beginning to get 'on the nose'

Re: Hanners
The "His contract was front loaded and we had to spend the money so it doesn't really matter" narrative is again another desperate one (along with "he brought others to the team").
We could have front loaded a bunch of other players (who actually get on the park) contracts instead that would have meant we had money to spend now on an extra player (Treloar etc).
(Foreseeable) disaster all round.

If for no other reason... it would be nice to just stop hearing about this and instead have someone on the list that is available to playJoffa Burns wrote: ↑Thu 29 Apr 2021 11:42pm F@rk him off, take the pain and punishment now.

Stick a fork in him, put him on a slice of McCartin and serve him up to Lethers & Finnis.

Re: Hanners
Who cares about Hanners he is only clogging our list and should consider resigning .
Our recruiters and Zig and Zag are absolutely kidding themselves if we can be competitive with our current list
We are old slow and playing as individuals .
Thanks for coming Mr Gallagher but i think your time is up as well

I think the Hannebrey trade was arranged by Lethlean and before Gallagher arrived in August 2018?Laurie wrote: ↑Fri 30 Apr 2021 5:17pm Who cares about Hanners he is only clogging our list and should consider resigning .
