Data on hanneberys value...

Post: # 1901297Post Premium89 »

So I know there’s been lots of discussion around Dan’s off field value (and I’m one of the positive people on that front), but buried down the bottom of this article is a Very interesting graph.

TRIGGER WARNING - you’ll have to skip through another paragraph about the saints skipping Petracca in the draft.

The graph is called “repaying the faith?”
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-05-13/ ... /100133302

Basically the graph compares the “player ratings” of players who've signed 5 year deals - before and then after the contract. Most players seem to be rated either a little below or a little above - with a few players well above where they rated pre contract.
Dan - well, he’s a significant outlier.

Yeah I know it’s something we’ve all been discussing for ages - but really interesting to see it put in a visual format like this.

Still - in a slight defence of Dan- It’s Hard for a player to build up “ratings points” when they can’t get on the park.

Maybe Dan should have a look at it, and then do the right thing by the club.

He should announce his retirement.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

So did he have 4 years with a trigger for a 5th or 5 years?
Both get reported.

Do the right thing Hannebery and retire.

If he plays next year we will know for sure something really smells.

Well its clearly negative and reaching (reached?) a point where there can be no breakeven in the best case scenario.

Hannebery is guilty of nothing...
the idiots that gave him a 4 or 5 year deal on the other hand are either criminally incompetent or corrupt!!
was not that hard to predict the ultimate outcome.
