God that’s rubbish

Do a career compare of Billings and Higgins

Look at their best games - ceiling

Look at their numbers

FFS
One has 30 Brownlow votes
The other has zero

I am in the 50/50 group. Happy if he stays, not heart broken if he leaves.

For what it's worth I have never rated him in clinch moments, but he is a good link player and covers huge distances in games which would be hard to replace.

Seb Ross has won a b&f in your logic he too is better than Higgins?????
Watch the game ffs stop hiding behind meaningless stats it proves nothing
Look at their output /impact ....you can only do that when you watch enough football
Suspect you’re not there yet.

Seb Ross is better than Higgins

WTF are you on about?

One is a small forward/half forward who’s played 60 games, averages 15ppg, 2.3 tackles and 0.87 goals

The other is an inside/outside mid
Played 160 games, averages 23.5, 3.75 tackles has won 2 B&Fs and made the AA squad. Has Captained StK and is in the leadership group.

Are you smoking the pipe or something?!

Ross is a good player.
Billings is a good player.
Dunstan is a good player.

All three can cut it at the highest level.

Are all three in the same side going to get you a flag?

No they are not.

Imagine being told in December 2014 that in 7 years' time billings, Dunstan, acres, McCartin and Goddard would've all left the club, the dogs would have a premiership and the demons were minor premiers.... Oh and petracca was a Brownlow favourite...

Sure, but quite possible. I'm just sad. I remember feeling so optimistic about those two drafts. We get them right and 2019-2023 would be fun times.

In my head McCartin was plugger, Goddard was, well.... Goddard. And Billings, Dunstan and Acres were Harvey, Burke and Winmar. Clearly I got ahead of myself.

Some people criticised those draft selections at the time

A lot of other forumites spent pages justifying those selections

for me its become - "So What... if Billings, Ross and Dunstan leave." I'd prefer to keep Billings and hope we do, but Dunstan can go, would much rather get games into Bytel/Byrnes Ross, meh, can go, was always destined to be a fringe player as we got better. And he is not a great fringe player. Higgins much better, we need to aim for more of that ilk.

Tend to agree that Ross going would not be that big a loss. Billings.....meh. Dunstan - the stat that his last three games he went at 28% disposal efficiency sums up that situation.

You guys should go and have a look at all the goals the saints scored last weekend. Seb was in the chain in at least 5 of them.

The continual demeaning of Ross on this forum is beyound belief.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

LOL - I must admit that I have not read much of this thread - but I think you have the title wrong - it should be "So what, if Billing, Ross and Dunstan leave .....?"

The answer is we lose some GOP and hopefully fill their roles with young, quick good users.

My order of preference for keeping is:
- Billings

Daylight

- Ross and Dunstan

I think Billigs suffers from the Dal syndrome - Silky - but people expect him to be more than he is.
