Quicks will be

OR??? Get this...they drop Lyon? And play the new Golden Bolan! along with the leggie...?
You need to squeeze the skipper back in sg or has he tested positive? Unless he's batting at 5?

You dropping the captain??

They’ll play 3 quicks and Lyon. Sydney being a spinners pitch is another myth that needs to die!

I am reliably informed that "Travis" is croweater talk for "Richard".

Partying with random mates who have been who knows where.
Khawaja gets a chance to cement himself in the team ahead of Head.

That he has been called up as a possible test replacement on the back of T20 performances tells us everything we need to know about where first class cricket is at.
It's endemic and it's not going to change.
Anderson, Root adding their voices of concern about the dominance of short form meaningless games after England's debacle.
But cricket has been well and truly taken over by marketing image-meisters and corporate spin merchants. They can coo all they like about stewardship of the traditions of the game. Bottom line is the only thing they care about, and it is the only thing, is how much money can be made. Everything else if fodder for sacrifice on the altar of commerce.
T20 is to test cricket what touch football is to rugby league.
A different game played with the same equipment and on the same ground.
It is time that the word cricket was ditched from T20.

Given that logic, it's clear that you could do much better than Marcus Harris.

You posted, Dec 16, page 4 of this thread,

Clearly not okay to post uncomplimentary things about Mitch Marsh, but okay to post downright ugly insults about Marcus Harris.

Yes, Carey be da keepa!

Casey be for Melbourne reserves.

But yes, Green should step up.

Just curious.
You think Stuart Broad is cooked?

Given England's appalling decision making and captaincy, which I understand to have affected their loss to India at home this year, you have to wonder.

I think Woakes is a decent bowling allrounder, don't you? But maybe decent isn't good enough? I think Broad is still a good bowler, be it at Flemming speed and without the amazing swing.

Woakes is a better batter and bowler than Marsh.

Rubbish. Maybe borderline a better bowler but doesn't hold a candle to him as a batsman.

32 Tests
Batting avg 25.2
Bowling avg 38.64

Versus

41 Tests
Batting avg 27.67
Bowling avg 29.9

Not hard to work out which of those players is better in both facets.

I’d suggest a bex and a good lie down, this modern world can be a tricky place for some! :D

Hopefully Usman has a big day and gives the selectors no excuse not to replace Harris with him at the top of the order in Hobart.

Really hope that our selection isn't thinking of giving a 35 year old more game time over a youngster. Admittedly Harris has struggled at times but there has been bright spots. I'd select Harris over Khawaja in a heart beat. Test cricket takes time and Harris has looked capable at points.

Also obviouly he's just a stand in for Pucovski at this point. Play the youth. Khawaja is the past.
