Sorry guys, but I happen to know one of the umpires who umpired tonight and one of the players mentioned above and they are good blokes.
They are not dishonest. May have been some mistakes made and some frees not paid both ways, but the two individuals I know are not cheats.

Roo was actually questioning a few decisions tonight and most of the responses from the others were giggles and chuckles.

No one said they weren't good people just that they went charging in with their heads and got frees which shouldn't happen very poor umpiring even if they are nice people they did a s*** job

If you intentionally draw high contact, you don't get a free kick. That was not the interpretation in any instance throughout this game. Absolutely pathetic

It's a bit easier to swallow after a win, but I think the fault is less with the umps and more with the Crows.

I don't know the breakdown of the 'high contact' free kicks, but know that 90% of those had contact instigated by the Crows players.

Players cheat, they know the rules and manipulate them.
How can you not blame the umpires. There are 2 teams out there but only one seemed to be consistently rewarded.

I'm not sure on the actual ruling but if you duck your head or lead with it I thought it was play on or deemed a legal tackle.

Some of the head highs were justified such as Longs run down in the centre square as he caught the guy high, but at least 4 I saw it appeared the crow play drew the free by barging in head first.

It's not good blokes that's needed, it's umpires with enough experience and ability to see when a player is deliberately staging for free kicks.
