What role for Hunter, in the current team?

Did he want midfield time? Did Gresham?

Did he perform well in early ‘21 as a mid?

If Hill and Long go, and if Paton and Coff return to their magic powers, where would the good Hunter hunt?

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

The club has a record of trading/ dropping players too cheaply.

McEvoy, Goddard, Dal Santo, Ball !

Let's not forget Hickey, Acres, McCartin, Hind who were all basically given away. Three playing finals this year and the other has been one of the Dons best players since transferring.

I still maintain that the club did him no favours whatsoever bringing him back late in the year when he wasn’t match fit. All it’s done is lower his stock and raise question marks.

clark as steak knives for bing and our first pick is about the only way we'd land bing. mind you if i was gc i'd only take that if bing was certain to leave at end of contract. clark is another unrealised potential, and i think him more likely to realise it elsewhere, if he ever does. looked a much more likely prospect three years ago than he does now, regardless of injury.

But why would they be "sniffing"? Beat up or is something NQR with the playing group wanting to be there?

He turns the ball over too much, both by possession and getting caught in possession.
Yes he has had injuries but he should have improved more by now.
Is that st kildas development capabilities or is it him?
I wonder
The former.

I think they see a possibility that we will lose our nerve and make silly list changes just to be seen to be doing something. We need to keep Clark.

Spot on Gershwin, sadly we have form. We also have a few needing to justify their positions at the Club. None of which are players.

No chance

I'm with you but yeah no chance GC would not accept that offer & even if we threw in Hill as sweetener they still wouldn't accept it so nice thought but it aint happening

My God this place is negative.

Either he wants out because we're terrible.

Or he is unfulfilled talent because we're terrible.

Forget glass half full of empty you lot would just tip it out and smash the glass.

I like some of the really smart things Clark does. I just wish he'd do it 25-30 times, every week, for a whole year. That'd be awesome. But he hasn't done that yet, so we will probably keep him and give him a raise.

Hasn’t Clark and Gresham

And Coffield and Billings

Been injured for the last couple of years?

Rarely do players perform well in injury riddled seasons

Fully fit

All 4 are good players

To let them go while value is low - stupidity

Sell high - buy low

That’s the only way I’d deal for Clark
I still think we need to be absolutely ruthless and go hard for Bing
He’ll be the lead up option we need

And what happens to Sharman then...oh that's right he's now a clutch goal kicking backline player these days.

It’s what happens to Membrey (who won’t be here for our next GF appearance anyway) that’s the question

I would just do a straight swap Clark for Bing GC now are not so reliant on Bing so a straight swap is fair as Clark will be a very good Midfielder both have 1 year on contract so no problems there.
We might not get a better chance to get Bing then this.

Dreaming.

Once you finished talking there’d be like a min of silence and when you asked what’s going on they would genuinely ask that you finish making the offer.

No way you’d get one of the most promising key forwards in the country that was there leading goal kicker or close to it last year… for a midfielder that’s looked good at times, is yet to have a break out season, didn’t look match fit on their return and is injury prone.

If they acquiesced to that deal… not only would I snap it up but I’d ask which other stars they’d swap for some magic beans
