We lose long and Clark what does it mean for our club
Spewing on both but is there a bigger picture
Is it lose long and Clark and we get the Goey
That's the only thing that makes sence and I'm sure I'm wrong .

Re: We lose long and Clark what does it mean for our club
Why would they be linked?
DeGoey is FA and no trade required.
Whereas Clark is a contracted player, and can only go if traded.

If you want to post jokes you can do that in the general forum.
If you start a thread relating to the St Kilda team or to the competition in general, at least respect the intelligence of the people who visit here and don’t just post every single brain fart in your head

We won't get DeGoey.
He is not he answer anyway.
Stupidity and poor management if Clark and Long go. Clark has lots upside after a couple injury affected years. Long just needs to be used better. Understand that Long is not a Rioli. He is not a smooth flowing, silky skilled running machine.
More like a crash and bash hard at the ball - and player - solider. Utilise the skills and weapons he has.

It will mean a top 10 pick for Clark, who hopefully we can turn into a genuine midfielder in the Cameron McKenzie mould. I would expect Long's pick to be on-traded for another targetted player.

Why does Clark go? He can't walk because he's contracted!

Long to Gold Coast, it appears. Second round pick in return? Looks possible.
Hunter Clark is a real talent. To move him on would be insane. If it happens I will be furious and really start to question where the hell the club is heading. I'm normally supportive of the club's list manager, but if Clark goes, I will definitely lose faith.
It's not a particularly good draft according to the experts. If the club is loading up on draft picks, it had better get as many as possible within the top 20.
I'm starting to get a very uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach

I'm sorry, but not a chance in the world anyone would trade a top 10 pick for Clark. He will go for early 2nd round.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Wed 14 Sep 2022 11:11am It will mean a top 10 pick for Clark, who hopefully we can turn into a genuine midfielder in the Cameron McKenzie mould. Re: We lose long and Clark what does it mean for our club
All this talk about Clark leaving is without the slightest foundation, just media speculation.
How often do clubs go to a player's manager and request they find them a certain type of player, in this case a running half-back/mid with very few miles on the clock to fill a hole on their list.
Said manager looks around and thinks "Hunter Clark would be a great fit" and immediately chats to his mates in the footy media with the furphy that "Clark is being chased by another club" which then goes viral on the net and before you know it becomes a dead set fact that Clark is going to move to another club. And supporters fall for this and get all worked up.....seriously
If there's one thing I've learnt over the years it's that the old saying: "where there's smoke there's fire" does not apply in the world of off-season footy speculations.

Re: We lose long and Clark what does it mean for our club
I herd this morning on the trade bell that Clark has been shopped around there words if that's the case it would be very disappointing.
Really hope you right Sanctorum.
If we lose him we at least need to get a equal player or early draft picks.

Happy to lose both. I think Clark could be a good player but not at st Kilda. Long is a genuine spud.

Depends on what comes in for them and how we use it. I really don't think Clark will go unless we get something pretty good in return.
