So the next coach according to SS could well be "other". I'm starting to warm to other, because if other bombs, you could always switch to an other other.

Here’s a fact from history;
76 wins, 46 losses, 4 draws

The most successful coach short of Jeans.

It’s a long, long time ago, but that doesn’t seem to stop anyone around here!
172W 128L 5 Draws over his career.
Not great, considering the strength of the lists at St Kilda and Freo.

And what were his w/l over the last 3 years at Freo? Did he choose to leave?
His w/l were about the same as Clarko & Matthews in their last 3 years at Hawks, Lions. Allan Jeans similar, last 3 at the Saints.
Plenty of other examples in the coaching world.
So last 4 years ... Lyon was around 30% w/l.
We will be getting him fresh from that.

... and that's when the coach usually rides off into the sunset, especially after being unceromoniously sacked as he was from Freo. And the last we hear from them, normally.

But we are St Kilda .... resurrectus forgetus stupidus.

Yep, about the same as Michael Voss last 4 years at Lions, yet Blues took him on, with a resultant w/l over 50%, and further improvement expected.
Go figure. It's the vibe, man, not cherry picked stats.

And Ratt's vibe was good before the injuries struck and mounted up.

It's the list and luck with injuries.... the coaches are a nil-all-draw.

I don't know what year you are referring to, but yes, injuries in 2021 & this year did affect Saints. Ratts was unlucky, not a bad coach, but I don't think he would have taken Saints to top 4. Whether RL does if he gets the gig is uncertain, but we won't die wondering.

Coaches are a nil all draw? Rubbish

Cameron for mine, given his ability to develop elite young talent and reach deep into finals over several
finals campaigns in the past decade.

King, Wanganeen-Milera, Higgins, Coffield and Clark are all recent first-round draft picks that we have picked up after realising that we weren't going to get deep into the finals by giving these picks away for guys like Hill, Hannebery, etc.

Where’s the option to vote for Jack Oatey.

The club are into him big time.

We could be looking at 70,000 members next year.

Imagine if we get off to a hot start and carry it through to September. Anything is possible.
I agree, anything is possible ...
Even a 0-10 start as he had with Freo is possible - and that's with the team that got to the GF the year prior.

He ruined our chances of sustained success, and we're just going to welcome him with open arms?
He ruined our chances ???
Honestly one minute it’s list….next minute its Ross
He got us multiple chances to win the frighin thing ffs that’s the main role - get an opportunity …he cavy kick the ball for Scheider who misses from the goal square ffs
Haters gonna hate I guess

Cameron got GWS into five finals series, three prelims and one GF, most if not all of which he had Lenny as an assistant!

Reckon Bevo's manager is in urgent discussions with Doggies hierarchy about an extension post 2023.
Would be an outstanding get.

Hmm 🤔

Coaching
Bontempelli, Naughton, Smith, McRae. Ugle Hagan, English and so on…

Or our list

I know where I’d like to be

If Beveridge chose us, we’d have to be concerned… because obviously he’d be not right in the head!

It pains me to say it, but given the situation, I think Lyon is our best option.

Yep….judging by this poll, it seems the only logical thing to do is sign up Ross Lyon. He now has over 40% of the primary vote. Once you add in preferences, he’s romped it in  8-)

I looked at the poll yesterday and it was heavily weighted against Lyon (he only had around 30%)….hmmmm…..either we’ve had a lot of new sainstsational members join up in 2 days and vote for him or perhaps it’s all legitimate and above board

Have to confess mate, I arranged a few stacks just to make sure Bassat doesn't change his mind on Ross.
