Personally I’d drop Webster and Butler from the starting 22… maybe even Wood though he finished the year strongly. Need to look at upgrading some of these ok players to good ones.

X-factor here is Jack Hayes. If he can hold down CHF and relief ruck… structurally we’re all of a sudden looking very good

IMO a more even spread of class along each line and players are playing where they need to as opposed to what’s comfortable

Sinclair obviously contentious but we need class mids with pace and clean disposal… he can do it… few others on this list can. Plenty of players can cover his spot down back.

Forward line looks mixed with weapons, defence is big, has run and aerial balance, different types of mids on the bench.

In retrospect with Wood… pbly adds the correct balance to this team.

By howdy… he’s one player that I would push to the moon and back if I was RL.
If Wood can maintain the form he finished the year in… elevates is a bit IMO

Particularly the likes of the Number 9 Draft Pick, Heath, Adams and Peris debuting in 2023 will be a positive - including because the side we can structure around them has some appeal as competitive

Otherwise Rattan would not have presented to keep the Head Coach role and Lyon would not be seeking it

Lyon has unfinished business and presented accordingly

It was marked at 14 in the Competition for a reason that reason being the need for those players not in our top 20 to develop and progress
