Some are saying this kid could go top 20. If it's this Bailey Humphrey.

But it could be this one.

Yep that's the one.

We need some pure class mids. Not another smallish forward who can spend a bit of time as a mid.

He's 185cm kicked 19 in a game last year. Played wing this season in senior footy.

From the footage I've seen, I'd be happy with any of those 3 guys and there's also the possibility that we get Humphrey as well - we're sure to land a good mid anyway (based on potential anyway). I've got a feeling Cam Mackenzie goes to Hawthorn and we end up with Phillipou which I'd be more than happy with

Watched his interview on the AFL site he was a very impressive, confident and yet humble young man. I can see why clubs are impressed with him, he has that special something.

So we tested a player who is not one of the 886 players that actually nominated for the draft.

So I am calling crap.

If the HS is correct he cannot be drafted.
The HS states nominations closed at 3.00pm yesterday.

Here is a snippet only showing 1 X Bailey Humphrey

If the Saints want this kid I hope they have ensured he has completed all the correct paperwork and the HS has not updated its list.

Or does the Rookie draft have a whole new nomination process?

I'm not sure what the intention is all I know there has been numerous conversations and that they got him down for some testing.

Maybe its to get him down to Sandy with the look to do something in the future.

Very much doubt that he will still be there by our pick.

And if WCE do not pick a WA player with their first pick, I believe that we will miss out on all the second tier mids by one pick. :(

Not sure about McKenzie. He reminds me a bit Gresham. Gets a lot of it but disposal looks a bit limited.

I like the kid from SA with our second (Keeler?) if he’s still available. Great size, athletic, glorious kick.
I'm with you on both of those kids.....Phillipou looks like the player we need to break the lines and Keeler is so skilful for a big guy, there are comparisons with Paddy Ryder and I can see why

From what I can see, I think in the long term Reuben Ginbey will be the best of this year's crop and a future brownlow medallist. He plays like Clayton Oliver.

HS latest Phantom Draft has us taking Busslinger, the 196cm key defender from WA with MacKenzie ending up at West Coast at about Pick 14 or 15.

What have we got against midfielders with speed, good decision making and good disposal, especially if they are in our own backyard?
