I hope he dons the jumper on stage tomorrow night. Should be quite emotional as I think it is the anniversary of Warne's passing.

OK I looked him up. Played a git tar with pink floyd.

I am lucky if I know the names of the beatles and the rolling stones....Full stop.

AND even the Rolling stones would be a struggle.

Could not tell you the names of anyone in any other band, and could care less.

108,000 at the MCG to see Ed Sheeran last night, and you can bet your life not one of them had heard of David Gilmour, or Pink Floyd actually! 😀

Oh dearie me, sorry Firey😩
Please forgive me? I looked him up. Aaah Pink Floyd, I think I can recall shaking the bod to ‘another brick in the wall’ many, many moons ago😇

I grew up on Elvis, Cliff Richard, the Big Boppa, little Richard, the Everly Brothers, The big O, Buddy Holly & Neil Diamond.

Later, Boz Scaggs & Brian Ferry. Was never a lover of those rock bands although the missus was.

Still have all the Vinyls

Real musicians who could actually sing

No one left the G last night in any doubt they had just seen a ridiculously talented musician who can sing. He was brilliant.

First time I'd left the G, where there were 100K people, happy.

Just watched some Ed Sheeran footage on YouTube of the MCG concert Sorry but I just don’t get it. He’s a guy out there with a guitar jumping around playing to recorded music he has attracted that many people so I guess he is doing something right but I nearly fell asleep watching him
Don’t get me wrong I’m glad someone of such profile has aligned himself with us and I guess couple of the songs sound okay but through to the keeper for me .
Just don’t get it

I can't offer an opinion as I have no idea if he can sing or not having never heard any of his songs. I don 't listen to the radio and in the car have all my music on a little gadget called a USB.

I did the same Firey and felt exactly the same way.

I think it's great that so many people have music to enjoy, and 108,000 can't be wrong, can they?! And you have to hand it to Ed, he's really tapped into something.

But the videos I saw looked like a huge Hillsong get-together with a similar audience demographic and zeitgeist (and music, actually). The kind of music that has music curmudgeons and snobs like me banging on about the '60s and '70s.
