I thought you were one of these stick fat type supporters?
Glass half full type??
18 games in….Lyon hasn’t fixed 10 years of Richo, Ratten Shiite so he’s no good??
Good to have you in the trenches 👍
Fixed? He's dug the hole deeper, quicker and put us back at least 2 years.
He cannot motivate the players, can't discipline execution. Ratts couldn't, Richo couldn't. And he is no different.
His commentary will however be first class.
I will renew next year, but I know a car crash when I see it.
Only dropping 7 for next week will get me to think it may not be hopeless for the foreseeable and Ross isnt a fraud. Or unless Ross resigns.
Ok great
Who the 7 you bringing in next week to rejuvenate us in 1 week?
The point is dropping some of todays rabble. Anyway: Higgins, Clark, Hayes, Campbell, Bytel, Heath, Paton, that's off the top. Is Ross fit? Who else are on the list in the Bs?
The non performers are banking on there not being replacements. They need a wake up signal.

Well….welcome to the bottom 4 for the next 10 years.
Deserve to be kicked out of the comp (and would be if the AFL didn’t prop them up since they can’t get their affairs in order).
You sound annoyed
Broken record year after year.
How can a club get it so wrong all the time regardless of personnel in charge??

Look at Collingwood’s side. How is it possible we both have the same salary cap?

It’s just pathetic and most supporters don’t give a f***.

Hawks & North will likely go past us soon due to their wealth of young talent and our aging broken mids needing to be replaced ..... couple of years of hurt coming up

In relation to Ross Lyon, I'm simply expressing an opinion that for all the hype surrounding his "Messiah-like" coaching skills, we are (after a strong start) back to the exact position after 17 rounds that we were LAST season (9-8). As for Lyon "fixing 10 years of Richo, Ratten Shiite", well I think it's a valid question to ask whether RL still has "what it takes" in the CURRENT AFL. I'm NOT saying (as Teflon seems to assume I am) that he's "no good" Simply that a side coached by a caretaker gave us a fine old touch up yesterday and that it would seem to my old eyes that Ross is far from being a "messiah". Look, it's no secret that I didn't want the bloke back, but the club have appointed him, and so I'll back and support him and the players to get it right eventually. But in my own defence, I do believe that one can give support and yet still call for answers as to our coaching and playing performances.

I am glad the club has appointed him.

Fair comment Mr Fireman :) I'm prepared to back and support the Coach - WHOEVER they may be, because at the end of the day, it's a CLUB appointment, and I support the club. But as I've said earlier mate, "support" doesn't always equate with not asking questions or raising concerns.

18 games into his first year ???????????????????
I mean give him Rattebs 3 years or hell Richo’s 6 but 18 games in and you think you’ve seen enough to “ask the question”
Can you see the issue some might have with that ?
I suspect if it was anyone else other than Ross Lyon appointed we wouldn’t be even having this discussion
But people’s personal bias is well n truly on display
I feel it’s almost, for some, Ok if he fails …cause that proves the point he’s a Lyon cheating pr!ck as some on here keep telling us
Meanwhile…back at St Kilda Premiership central - 1 flag in 150 years rolls on..,
Bizarre

I can't believe, but should, that some posters are still trying to put the blame for yesterday's disgraceful performance on two previous coaches,.

But I guess you have to have a fall back, fall guy when your heroes f*** up.

crikey mate how many coaches have we seen ?
Loved bomba, alves, and GT , and I reckon Ross has that x factor we need as a coach
Gellie, Jewell, Jezza, baldock,Richo ..watters didn't have that x factor
mind you used to love listening to Baldock talk.

and yep we cop what the club throws at us and of course we can question it, but at the end of the day we support our beloved saints come hell or high water :)
have to admit the older I get the anger is waning but the frustration remains a constant

I am happy to admit that I have never been a Lyon's fan . I don't like the man and was upset when he was reappointed to a club that he had previously deceived and walked out on. Nevertheless I was prepared to stay uncritical until I saw him repeat the flaws that were obvious the first time around.

To wave a white flag at this stage of the season when we are still looking at a finals berth is unforgiveable and smacks of a person more willing to protect his reputation as a coach than trying to correct things.

I can only hope the president can get on top of this. Failure is not on his agenda.

Someone trying to stifle another poster' views on a game by claiming it's baiting is something hopefully the mods should ignore. One would hope they are awake to such tactics

[/quote]

Can be found behind the goal posts. There is a matching set each end.
When the opposition scores it's/they are waved.
Sometimes the set at our end is waved first, but more often they just mimic the other ends 15 or so times a game.
It's quite comical to those new to the game but a necessary tradition.
To wave the white flag means a score may be registered and a advert break can be taken.
