And his name goes into the history books

Billy Frampton. Luckiest man in Australia today . D grade AFL footballer, 2 possessions in an entire game of football that he only played in because someone got injured.

And there he sits with a premiership medallion around his neck.

No need for a shower after the game. He didn't raise a sweat.

In Springfield, they are eating the dogs. The people that came in, they are eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Ginnivan has as many flags as the Saints. Let that sink in.

Frampton is not on his pat malone, there are a few very ordinary players sitting with premiership medallions around their neck

Goes to show what a good coach can do

You could say Frampton was the the number one player. His stats read:

1 kick
1 handball
1 tackle
1 behind
1 premiership

He looked all at sea trying to mark the ball in the Pies forward half.

I think my local fruit shop is going to name their potatoes after him, they are now called new framptons.

I suspect however he will be enjoying himself immensely right now in the post-match celebrations. Dare I say it, this is when Frampton Comes Alive.

I'm sure Frampton would have liked to hold on to a couple of those marks near the goal square. If he had, couple of goals and a different scenario.

He was brought in to provide a tall target and keep Andrews busy, reduce his intercept marks. He did, especially in first half, at least the ball got to the ground for the smalls. Would the pies have won without Frampton getting in the way up forward? Probably not.

The Lions coaches were unable to exploit Frampton and or Ginnivan or Murphy going off. Their ability to do more than mouth platitudes and show the direction of the ground to an exceptionally talented team on the field has to be questioned; they don't seem to have tactical pro-action when the going gets a bit tricky. Their bad, and McRae is obviously touched, only arrogance can stop him now - and it would be an exceptional man that didn't take all the luck in close finishes and umpires calls going his way not to think he was the chosen one. But he set his available players up magnificently, far better than Fagin.
Also, Lions coaches were unable to get Neale, Berry and Rayner and maybe Hipworth to play close to their potential. A couple of those guys choked.
I remember Rayner giving it to us rather rudely last year when he won the game for the Lions and will very unkindly remind him he bottled it in the GF given the chance next year, from a safe distance. Starcevich would like like moments again.
