Is not in the form of 2023

Is not holding his marks and getting caught out of position

It’s a worry

He’s not taking those uncontested marks that he’s been taking because the opposition aren’t allowing him to. In fairness, I think this might be a broader trend across the competition but I’m sure a certain know it all will tell me how wrong I am.

Membrey was in form last week

Should have taken 2-3 easy marks and fluffed them

Steele was sick all week. Maybe went around the club. Wilkie and Membrey just didn’t look themselves at all

We are missing some players that draw attention...

NVM got one over last week but this week was held. He played very well last week so without too many players for Bombers to worry about he was given strong opponents and he faded under pressure.

Same with Wilkie etc.

We just need a full compliment back and it spreads teams so that players get gaps, opportunity increases, we grow in confidence and take risks.

Wilkie is being forced to cover for Cordy's inabilities.
He can't go intercepting with Cordy such a risk.

He needs a full back who can play full back.
Howard has weaknesses but not as bad as Cordy.
But both Howard and even Van Es are 4 weeks away.
If Schoenmaker has another good game for Sandy he could be debuted.
Can't be much worse than playing Cordy.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Looked out of sorts and miles away from his AA form
Hopefully just a once off.

If Wilkie was in the top four better players for StKilda, as reported by Chris Nice on the Saint's app, then the rest of the team must’ve been rubbish. In the last quarter, Wilkie was out-pointed by Langford who dropped off him, marked out the back and strolled in for an easy goal while Wilkie stopped, failed to man the mark and thrust his arms in the air in a defeatist action.

One bad game isn't much to worry about. 2 in a row, or 3 out of 4 is when you start to worry.
