Other than win the game, what must we do this week?

1. Win all four quarters. We can't be sleeping at all. The longer the game goes, the more we should be in front.
2. Win the contested possessions and tackle count.
3. Win the clearances.

Keep them to ten goals or less

A loss would not just derail the season, it would severely impact the team build.

What been missing for most of the season thus far is the basics such as skill errors, missed kicks, marks and hand balls, missed targets, tackles not sticking and most surprising of all…lack of pressure and intensity across 4 quarters.

All symptomatic of a very young and inexperienced team, patience will be needed and I make this promise to myself, I will not lose my head if we lose to North. Taking the long game and definitely won’t be throwing the baby out with the bath water.

The first thing is not take any opposition lightly. I still remember the squad travelling over west last year to pick up four points and getting a big fright from West Coast who nearly stole the game etc. On top of what was previously mentioned - Take care with ALL handballs and ALL kicks, make EVERY tackle work, help team mates with their tackles. Support the running man with protection as well as being ready to take. NEVER OVERTHINK A KICK FOR GOAL AND DON'T KICK INTO THE MAN ON THE MARK - I could go on all day.

North Melbourne have conceded 100 points or more in every game this year, and average just 71 points a game.

We average 73 points a game.

North have have actually kicked more goals than us in 2024.

We need to score 80+ in my opinion. We've only done that once in our last 9 games.

We struggled in the 3 games we played against North and West Coast last year, lucky to win them, so I hope nobody is counting their chickens quite yet...

Good post, and 73 is the correct average, we've totalled 511 points in 7 games.

Someone else posted a different average, Maths probably not their strong suit.
