Re: Team vs Freo
That’s a lot of change for Lyon …he’s clearly seen enough of some of the stalwarts …
That’s good - not the future

Finishing near top 8 fools gold

Re: Team vs Freo (Walyalup)
Stocker has a lot more class and skill than Webster and any other guy on our list of his size.
Maybe needs to find more ball - if he's picked for Zebs
If he's slightly injured, he won't play Zebs.
Membrey- courage personified, but has been a shadow this year.
Ross- about damn time
Hayes? - was seen on an exercise bike, not track, according to one poster
Zak Jones apparently turned the ball over vs Box Hill. A lot. 22 touches, nice numbers, but what about the quality?

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

And Jones among the included players
Well, well
I thought his papers were marked by the Coach (no less)
On such Forums as this everyone has an opinion - but I would suggest that that is precisely what it is - a personal opinion
Not the position of the Club

Re: Team vs Freo (Walyalup)
!!?? Don’t know if I’m missing sarcasm but I love this… best selection of the year IMO
Easily the most balanced team we’ve selected this season.
It’s shorter but with marking targets up forward… lots of zip and versatility.
Membrey, Stocker and Ross all listed as “managed” - I’d have preferred Stocker over Paton but obviously this is an injury thing.
Rapt to see Collard get a go (hopefully). Forward line has a bit of zip and x-factor with Jones, Collard, Owens and likely Sharman playing around King and Caminati.
Big thumbs up for me.
I’m going to drop Freo victory off my multi now

On Jones…
Was glad he was dropped, was playing weak footy.
Has demanded selection and is playing for his life. Glad he gets the opportunity. An in form Jones would elevate us substantially.

Re: Team vs Freo (Walyalup)
On Collard's selection ... he didn't have a great game v Box Hill but it was clear that we missed having a specialist small forward last week v Hawks ..... he is currently the only one we have available to pick
Hopefully he doesn't start as the sub
Hopefully he doesn't start as the sub

Re: Team vs Freo (Walyalup)
With Higgins and Butler out I was surprised we didn't pick Collard. How do we know if he has X-factor if we don't play him. He knows how to kick a goal, something we need. If he gets a fair go at Marvel it might be the start of something....

Lets hope the selection is not a 'token' in acknowledgment of Indigenous round.

And with Henry hopefully re finding some of that zip he brought to the Pies game to add to the ins, then hopefully we look a little more energetic and electric around the ball.

You can’t say he’s not having a crack and that we are t playing kids
Great to see
The list needs work - we all know that and I’m glad to keep turning them over till we find the players who will take us forward

Re: Team vs Freo (Walyalup)
I think not rewarding good form at Sandy is a bigger picture decision than Jones alone. You have to say that you value performance at that level as a metric for AFL selection.
