Ben Johnson...Gone!

Post: # 435800Post Life Long Saint »

High hit on a Melbourne player (Daniel Bell) with their head over the ball. One of the worst I've seen. Bell was stretchered from the ground.

He must and will go for weeks!

He was also reported and pleaded guilty last week so he will have residual points.

Not that we play Collingwood between now and season's end but if we do somehow make the finals, we might meet them along the way.

Disgraceful.
Could have been Neil Sachse Mark 2.

It inspired Melb to come from 42 points down to within a goal.

Lets play Collylotto
- I'll nominate 8 weeks

really low act i though...he wasnt even going for the ball...he came in from an angle for the hit which in my opinion is much worse than going for ball and getting it really wrong

must be gone until the seasons out...

Actually a shame it wasn't Byron on the receiving end.
That would have been poetic justice.

Ch7 had many camra views of that and they replayed it at least 6 times from different camras, and not one of them showed he had eyes on the ball!
if he doesnt get 3 weeks or more there is something badly wrong with the afl!

Will get at least 3 may.be 4 which will convert to 4 or 5 [the season]as he has a 1 match penalty hanging over his head...Bondy on AW reckons he will get eight...will be a huge loss for the filth...very underated in their structure....hope we can sneak in and get some pay back

Dirty, flogging little arse wipe.......but I could be more than a little biased  !!!

That being said if he doesn't serve at least six weeks with his thumb up his butt then there is a real problem, as this is exactly the attack on a player that the AFL have been so public about wanting to take out of the game.

Well here is their chance to take a stand and tell everyone that this kind of action is completely out of line and will not be tolerated.

It is just a pity that it took Belly being carried off on a stretcher to see what the tribunal is actually made of.
I just hope that they have more spine than i have given them credit for.

Young Daniel was apparently up and walking by the end of the game but he has concussion and apparently pain in his upper back.

All in all, on a night that was supposed to trumpet a genuine champion the whole thing was nothing short of heartbreaking, courageous, but heartbreaking nonetheless.

I wish he wasn't needed to play next week (and I would prefer it if he didn't) but we are quickly running out of players  !!!

I have no faith whatsoever in the process.

And he's from Collingwood.

So I'd be surprised if he gets any more than 2, which will be meaningless as they are now certain to make the finals.

if Ben Johnson played for Melbourne, St.Kilda, Richmond, Hawthorn, Kangaroos, Geelong or Bulldogs he'd get 8 weeks.

If he played for Carlton, Essendon, Port, Freo - 4 weeks

West coast , Adelaide - 2 weeks

Brisbane, Sydney or Collingwood - slap over the wrist with a wet sock.

The Filth will be working 24 hours a day in getting all the scientific/legal guff assembled in an effort to have the penalty cut to a mere minimum so he can play finals--if they get that far. Mongrel!!
