i got an email from Greg Westaway

Post: # 453910Post hellorocky »

anyone else get one ???

It's because I am the secretary of the local Supporter Group. I will forward it to those on my email list.

If anyone else in the Albury/Wodonga area wants one (or anyone else for that matter) please send me a PM and I'll pass it on.

I just got home from work and haven't had time to digest the email yet.

I don't know what to make out of all this stuff :? :? :?

Can you post the content?

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.

I'm sorry, you've gone through all the trouble to find out what this actually says and it really is quite insignificant.

I'd rather not post the whole email as I don't want to cause any more fuss than what's happening.

Having said that the gist of the email is that he would like to speak personally with supporter groups and obtain our support for . He also says that Nathan Burke would like to talk to supporter groups.

I will PM a copy to those that ask and certainly speak with the local group soon.

It was stated on SEN that members will get a letter from the Westaways ticket in the mail.

Apologise if this has already been posted

no doubt the current & hope to be boards are reading this & just a suggestion they both get in contact with bruce from westofmoorabbin so both views can be expressed in an open & honest discussion on a reputable site without the imput of hacks in the media pushing their barrow

wom has a wide viewing audiance...the current or 'to be' boards have a golden opportunity to state their case without some hack journo putting their spin on things

Well they clearly didn't spend much on the website.

Information is what you want jb, so no problems if they're spending their own cash.

Interested to know how they got the mailing list.

lol - the website is a bit crappy.

I would have thought an email information campaign would be a bit less expensive than a mailout. if they have the mailing list, surely they have got the emailing list.

Wonder if that was one of Rods non football revenue streams, selling the mailing list of the members

And if they are spending their own money and not wanting the club to re-imburse them, it would mean they are serious and willing to put their own cash up front.

If this is the case, good luck to them

Yup I know but it was stated that it would be a letter. I work for an organisation that has 114,000 members and our mailouts cost up to $50k.

We have materially cut mailout expenses by spamming our members with emails

only supporter group contacts on website
members personal info- i e e-mail contacts property of individ and the club- haven't we had people concerned about getting e-mails via thrid parties of the club?

many may have the same reaction here

so unless there is aclause giving them access I am guessing- wheres the legals? that it would not be preffered.
simpler yes but no everyone has access to internet yet

despite Rogerwa mastering the system :)

sms even more so-- but I'm not on that list :
no way is fail proof.
