Who makes the decision to get players nominated - is it voted by players (ie have they already narrowed down the field to these players) OR does the Club nominate them, and then there is a vote by the players?

first year players havent been our strong point for a while now

I assume Attard not eligbile due to time at Lions, because as a first year for us he was good.

Please tell me that it is compulsary for each team to have at least one nomination for best first year player...if not...the game is played by morons.

and yes 1 from each for best first year.

No Saints nominated for education and training award.

so was still eligible for rising star

Everton the remark that this is why we didnt make the finals I hope you werent refering to Luke Balls nomination for Most Courageous. The way Luke has continually thrown his body around while carrying a obvious injury oozes courage. Anyone who doubts this has clearly no idea.
