Had me jumping out of my seat, almost spilt my soothing ale.

"Our season is still alive," Lyon said. "It's not the end for Robert."

Harvey's mates stood listening to those words, perhaps planning to keep the AFL's longest career lingering a while yet. Then turned into softcocks and blew it YET again.

I had the sense last night that he'd been running for a while when he pinned Franklin, but I've just watched the replay. He chased from behind at Sewell who had the ball first and, when he dished it off to Franklin, CJ just kept running past him and chased down Franklin.

It was one of the most sustained and determined efforts you could imagine.

He has provided two inspirational moments this year - his mark when he got crunched, and now this tackle.

Send him to Beijing.

Thanks for the video, one can only dream that it would have been Aaron Hamill laying the tackle.

It was great that Jones/Blake finally got reward for effort in the 2nd half. Will need some other fringe players to take a leaf out of their book.

Good shepherd by Sewell! To be fair to him, he's coming back from injury.

I thought it was more of a How Dare You! Dont You Know Who I Am?

Also how much better was his disposal on Saturday? He will make it at this level.

He seems a talismanic sort of player. Already this season he has given us two instances which have gotten the whole stadium on its feet. OK not from skill but from sheer guts and determination. That sort of thing is contagious.

i believe he is going to make it. he was put in the bests in the paper. He must be working very hard on his disposals kicking. etc.

What gets me is how he didn't know he was about to be hit!!?? I mean the crowd roar was building as CJ was closing on him - Buddy was still just ambling along totally oblivious to the terrier closing in on him. Is that just sheer arrogance on Buddy's part??, lack of awareness?? or was he not getting calls from teammates that he was "hot". Or perhaps he thought they were saying "boy, you're so hot Buddy!!" as he was looking at himself on the big screen...

My fiance Molly always says that she would like to adopt Clint!

She loves his guts, determination, talent, everything.

Twice this year, he has left memories in my mind which will last forever.

Go you good thing!

Reckon he's a walk up start in the 22 yet?

Would have to have stepped off the fringe I reckon.

The reason Franklin got tackled by Jones was that when the other Hawthorn player had the ball before giving it to Franklin, Buddy didn't shepherd Jones for him. Then Franklin got the ball, Jones kept running, and there was the ball game. We weren't getting beat from that point.

We goes around comes around. Great to see Jones making the most of himself.
