If the Hawks can break even around the midfield - i reckon the Hawks can do it.

Mooney is way overrated.

Right now you are correct. Last week you would have been wrong.

Some semblance of a small revival has ressurected my belief that some toughness in the midfield and at clearances would have made all the difference.

Goddard you are the soul reason for that little turnaround in form. A true champ.

Gotta not bothering to respond the wrong way to the opposition (and trolls).

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

yeh i aagree
no one would be talking about longeran had it been for his kidney op

"to pickle weasl

wasnt 92 a good year

"Yet despite two lop-sided victories against the Footscray Bulldogs, Geelong proved too be unable to counter the power of the West Coast Eagles. In the Grand Final the Cats got off to a wonderful start, at one stage during the second quarter leading by five goals. However, in the second half West Coast's Peter Matera ran riot, booting five goals and earning himself the Norm Smith Medal as best on ground. The Perth based West Coast won by 28 points to take the first premiership won by a non-Victorian club."

What is it about the Cats that has us hoping the team that's just giving us a flogging beats them.

I dont agree. Pressure is not there at the clearances particularly in the middle. Too many simple runs by Hawks midfielders that are resulting in goals.

Accountability, team player protection and lack of pressure has cost us.

So do I but I dont think this will eventuate.

See Chance Batemans run from HB to HF that resulted in Harveys copping a brush out by Buddy? Lack of effort to contina Bateman and lack of pressure on teh kicker to Bateman. Not good enough tonight.

Milne is too small for the finals.
Too much physical pressure for him.

We need a mid sized forward goal kicker or 2 in our forward line for more balance.
We cant rely on just tall marking options like Riewoldt - no wonder he hurts himself, he needs support and we need to kick goals from general play.

i think you'll find Mitchell head hit the elbow of the hawks player behind him

but lets just hope the MRP does some research and sees that

Hey weasel...

How old are you??

can you spell??

If you are of age, name a place and time and lets meet and discuss further...

Come on hero...

I noticed that you have edited a post that was about Robert Harvey...

was it about his goal kicking???

He has averaged more goals a match than the triple brownlow medalist Ian Stewart...

His job is not to kick goals but to create goals and he has done that consistently over 21 years....

Again, pick a time and place and we will have a little discussion

Great effort by Max tonight.
...and a great goal kicking effort by Sam Fisher too.

no fairy tale ending for Harves which is a bit sad but the boys have shown some promise in the second half of the season - here's hoping they can go a bit further next season.

GO SAINTS

NICK RIEWOLDT - 444 GOALS FROM 200 MATCHES

Unfortunately Gilbert wasnt on Williams and he needed to be but the bigger problem was the midfield pressure and disposal.

Dempster may have done a better job on Mitchell but we'd never know for sure.
