Look at the press today that other sports are yet again receiving in Brisbane and you'll understand why. The AFL are the cleanskins in SEQ and the AFL would like it to stay that way.
3) It's often hot/quite warm in Brisbane, with sweet FA to do in leisure time other than drinking heavily.

(Point 3 comes from 2 years experience living there vs. living in Melbourne for 30+ years!).

No Voss just seems really pig headed and probably kept pestering Cousins till he would give him a meeting. The Brisbane strategy with this doesn't seem very well thought out.

But that is the thing.

Ben mainly just wants to play AFL...

He may, or may not prefer us,........but if the Lions did take him he would be playing AFL again...and that is by the reports of those that know him what he badly wants to do.
Is Benny still good mates with Gardy?

I assume Gardy is down the straight and narrow now - something that will help Benny continue his "new" life......big picture stuff I mean if he ONLY wants to play for St Kilda.

I don't have that problem so it might say more about you than it does Brisbane.

Do you guys get the feeling that provided he gets board approval we will have to use pick 48. or 49 to get him? Rather than a later pick.

Yes Pilgrim . Brisbane are a useless , no talent organisation .

They only won 3 flags in a row while we haven't won a bloody thing for 41 ( ? ) years .

I only wish we were as useless , and as lacking in talent as that .

For G&*$ sake , before you open your gob , make sure your brain is awake .

took your time.
and whilst we have made three prelims in the last five years how many have brisbane?
as a matter of fact how many finals fixtures have they competed in over that time?

As much as it hurts to admit it . 3 prelims in 5 years and no grand finals is pathetic .

I'd rather have 3 flags since 2000 any day .

I've said this before , but 1 of the big problems with this great club in the last 40 years has been the attitude " close enough is good enough ."

I was there when we won the 1 and only big one . Yoy quite obviously were'nt.

Oce again . . . Make sure your brain ( ? ) is awake before you open your big , uninformed gob !!

he does like surfing though. he could go on surf trips with simon black.

it doesnt matter where he wants to go anyway. anyone of the 16 can draft him. end of story.

they dont need a strategy. all they have to do is call out his registration number on drafty days. easy.

if he gets out to past 50 in the draft. someone will take him. probably lions. but maybe, just maybe someone else.
