Eastern stand is where we sat last year. We were in bay 7 which is in the forward pocket, it was good viewing. Cost for those tickets are $33. Bay 9 and 10 are in the centre, seats there are $38.

General admission is standing only.

40 bucks for a scratch match :?:

if the afl were serious about promoting the game up in the gold coast dimwit & his cohorts are playing with emselves

with parking,a bit to eat & a drink its gunna cost a family 200 to 300 bucks to see a scratch match

4-5-6 thousand at 40 bucks or 8-10-12 at 20 bucks ..aint rocket science if ya want to promote the game

Pretty sure the reserving seating costs are set by the ground not AFL as per TD and the Cats home ground. That is the problem when you play at a small ground as there is little general admission tickets.

Whoever sets the bloody prices, $38 for a seat at a PRACTICE match is disgraceful

bev i also would pay 40 bucks however isnt the whole idea of having these scatch matches about promoting afl footy

given we have about 4 or 500 members & maybe 1000 supporters in queensland we will atract 1000 fans
the bears will bring another 2000 ...thats 3000

the remaining 2000 will be made up of theatre goers, novelty event seekers or rugby coherts & we want to slug them 40 bucks to watch a SCRATCH MATCH played between a few top liners & a bunch of couldbe's or never willbe's

imo promoting the game/code would be better served trying to tap into the 2nd group of spectators...slugging em 40 bucks to see a scratch match aint gunna get bums on seats

plugger i see your point of view re small ground capacity however this game/scratch match at 40 bucks a head will attract 5000 max...ground capacity is not an issue

4-5 thou at 40 bucks or maybe 8000 at 20 bucks...thats promoting the code

when was the last time dimwit & his hanger onners forked out 40 bucks for a scratch match

the average family who we are trying to attract to our code will say stuff you i aint got 200 bucks for 2 hrs at the footy(exibition match)

Aree with everything you say. The perfect chance to promote the game. I don't recall it being this expensive in the past. I don't know who set the prices, its probably a bit like the TV, everyone blames everyone else  I'm not convinced the AFL will grant a license up here, why would they take so long. And to be honest, I'm not sure how well it would go anyway. North was their best bet, because people genuinally seemed to embrace them, now people have lost interest. In the mean time us Saint supporters are just enjoying having the boys here while we can. Its sooooooooooooooo much better than the Gabba.
