You will be able to wear that to the ground!
What about a spanner? Then we can throw it in to the works
Just how relevant is quoting a post I made in 2004????

You must be a dead set dip sh1t to even bother IMO...

Again, I will not bother wearing any saintsational gear before any St Kilda gear that the club sells, Caps and shirts...

Why bother with it when most will wear a Saints Cap in any case, and again I have already stated that I now wear a Saints guernsey to games...

So, just what was your point in quoting a post made in 2004

With respect Bev, how many games will you wear it to. I will wear it to 17 games and I am not a cap wearer either.
Fair call, but I wouldn't even wear the Premiers Cap, I just don't wear them. With a badge, you can put it on a cap, jacket, tshirt what ever.

I don't think anything that Saintsatinal do would be a problem. with St Kilda. We have our own SEQ polos that we wear to the official functions the club hold up here are they have never said a word.

I just thought a badge might be easier to organise also.

Do a poll, majority rules :D
Your polos would be good up there, Bev. Do you use the logo on your avatar?
Yes we do Milan, on a red polo with "Moorrabbin in the Sun" on the back. I just wear a long sleeve tshirt under it in winter. But we are going to ditch it next year. A. We won't be at Moorabbin any more and B. The younger supporters don't like them. So we are after a new design.

Being a female I'm not partial to a cap. Perhaps a more unisex option would be better like the shirt or badge?

Where the hell did that come from, St F?

First of all I didn't join the forum until 2005 :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

I have no idea that you made a comment in 2004 and was not trying to insult you in any way. :?: :?: :?:

I'm sorry if I struck a raw nerve.

It was an innocent comment and wasn't what you thought it was. So now you have unnecessarily insulted someone who respects you, by making an incorrect assumption and calling me a name.

Once again someone has to resort to a personal attack before checking the facts. You may choose next time, not to jump to conclusions and call someone something you might regret.

I just wanted to be able to recognise other forumites when I go to the game because I want to make friends with people like you, even if you think I'm a "dead set dip sh1t". I went to Intra Club game by myself and didn't meet or find anyone until I went to the pub later on. It would have been handy to just find one person with a Saintsational cap, hat, headband, badge or yes even a spanner. If you think I remember a quote from a fan forum in 2004 after having a brain tumour, I think I might take that as a compliment!! It was an innocent joke because I think we will never agree on whether to have a cap or a shirt.

Can I humbly suggest that you don't be so sensitive and jump to conclusions. You should know me better, and know that I wouldn't try to upset you over something so petty, if anything at all. Anyway, I'm sorry if you got upset but next time you respond with an unjustified personal insult like that, I would think twice about who you are sending it to and whether that person would ever insult you like that. I proudly respect forumites and while I will disagree with someone's opinion, I won't resort to swearing or name calling.

Thanks for the PM St F. I realise now that your original post was made in 2004, I honestly didn't read the date of the post and didn't mean to offend so sorry if I did. That thread really was bumped and I didn't notice the date of your post.

No hard feelings and hope to see you on Friday. :D

No....

My fault mate...

As I stated in the PM, I apologise.....

But I am really against any similar merchandise that our Club are selling...

I am also of the belief that most on here would prefer to wear a St Kilda Cap opposed to some Saintsational Cap on match day...

Surely any purchase of an item that the Club sells goes directly to the Club...

I would not want to jeopardise their market and i fell that the Club would consider that any attempt in selling a similar product (caps/tops) would effect there bottom $

Maybe a Badge is the best option and if it was produced cheaply and sold

In an earlier thread I suggested that the profits of the "caps" or whatever we end up doing could go toward our sponsorship of the Saintsational Five. Scarf and cap sales have dropped anyway with the membership regalia so maybe a windcheater would work.

Another benefit may be that the caps, or whatever we choose, will promote the website and could get more people to read or join the site, attracting potential new members who could buy club merchandise and maybe buy shares in the sponsored players. More people may attend club functions or the Victory Room to meet other forum members. That also generates more revenue and good will. I know I would go to the Victory Room more often if I spotted people from the forum in their caps and I would certainly contribute to the bar tab!

I think my marketing/advertising background is coming out because I think in the bigger picture the club could make more money overall. We would only need maybe 100 caps at the most but the amount of exposure it would bring would be awesome and it would probably raise $500 for the sponsored players. We also would create a bond between the forum members. What do you think?

Just an idea but what about if an iron on Saintsational logo was made up and people could add it to their current footy gear or cap.

If that is not an option then my vote is for a badge :D

Was Joe Tex related to Disco Tex?

Thanks Milan, but there are only four of us who have been banned, and we are not in need of sponsorship yet. Speaking for myself, I would prefer any money go towards sponsoring club players.

Don't wear white caps when:

*On a construction site
*Working in a coal mine
*Playing tennis on an en tout cas court
*Rolling in the mud
*Swimming
*In a dust storm

You should be ok then, matrix
