So we gave up TWO 4th Rounders and a 2nd Rounder

and agained

ONE 4th Rounder and a 2nd Rounder.

So in this one trade in a weak draft year (last year) we gained a 2nd rounder and lost two 4th rounders BUT then in a strong draft year gave up our second rounder and gained a 4th Rounder.

That we have slid just makes an ordinary deal a terrible deal as we have it would seem lost a pick in the early twenties (strong year) for pick 34 (weak year), while also being behind on 4th rounders.

As it stands Port have pick 21 in the 2018 draft - received from St Kilda.

Pick 21 is quite a decent pick to have vanished without explanation.

Brisbane plays Gold Coast will decide our draft pick.
If Brisbane wins we get pick 4 after GC gets compensation for Lynch
If Gold Coast wins (best outcome) we get pick 3
If it is a draw we get pick 4.

Ok so the Clavarino pick (35).

So we essentially traded pick 35 (in) for pick 21 (out).

Based on results and the draw, we will probably end up with pick 5 (we won't go any higher than that). If the Suns and Lions manage to win again then we may get 2. Doubt it though.
