Mid Season 2020 he had 2 brain operations.

The doctors told him 12-18 months to have 100% physical capabilities.

He has done quite well so far and is improving his fitness. .. His efficiency with disposal goes from great 84% round 3 to avg 62% round 6.

He's kicked more goals than anyone on the team.

He is usually our 2nd youngest player on the field...so I guess pretty decent and many are blinded by our normally rubbish recruitment or just blind.

No, no good. He is overweight and can't really kick very well. He kind of jabs at the ball. I think he is lucky.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

He will never have the running capacities to play midfield. Its the same old chest nut for the Saints recruitment, who misread where their list is at and got carried away with over rating opposition players. All to the detriment of their own future.

Richmond would be rubbing their hands together having our 2nd round pick this year, just as Fremantle were with the Hill trade. When it comes to recruiting we are are the slowest learners in the history of the game. The recruiters and list managers change over time, but they all make the same mistakes as their predecessors attempting the quick list fixes.

Have a look at our recent history (2009-2010) when we acheived near sucess, it was all achieved by getting our draft picks right leading up to that period. So what do we do since then, is not put the right people or resources into recruitment. We have been recruiting other teams cast offs for 100 years - when will it cease?
You know he has only just turned 22, right? Higgins is the last of our worries. If he keeps his current form up for the rest of the season he's on track to kick 35-40 goals. Has been our best small forward by far and still looks like he has another gear. You can absolutely criticise the recruitment of Hannebery, Hill, McKernan, Wood, Frawley, Hunter etc but picking up a quality 21 year old small forward for a second rounder is a good move.

Therefore I agree with the trade for Higgins.
