Difference is the AFL allows you to do "this stuff" without giving up a spot on your list.

Who gives two f****. Unearth a gun local footballer that didn’t get the opportunity for what ever reason to play TAC. The kid that didn’t go to a private school the kid that started work as a 15 year old.

Well if this 18yo half forward is as good as you claim him to be then he should get drafted by one of the 18 teams

It has been proven that Irish guys can make it in the AFL and play great footy as well so why should that talent pool be ignored?

The current Premiers have 2 Irish guys playing in their best 22 and who both played in a winning GF side .... go figure

What's to say all teams aren't looking at gun local footballers in suburban leagues?

That said plenty of gun footballers running around in the VFL that are no good at AFL level
