Things can turn around reasonably quickly.

Brisbane was the wooden spooner in '98 and three years later was winning flags.

Collingwood was the wooden spooner in '99 and three years later was contesting GFs.

St Kilda was the wooden spooner in 2000 and four years later came within a whisker of a GF.

But there needs to be acknowledgment of failure, some bloodletting, and a change of direction.

I've been to our losing GFs in '71, '97, 2009, 2010..I'm getting challenged to keep my interest up at the moment as we are as far away from getting to another GF as I have seen.

Well, if you stay away from our next GF, we might win it, if we ever make one again!!!!!

A guy I worked with was a mad Sth Melbourne/ Swans supporter, healthy guy and wanted to see a Swans premiership. It happened in 2005 and he was so happy and humble.
