End round 5: 1st; 16 pts
Rs 6 -10: 5th, 12 pts, minus 24% (deduction from end round 5 %.)
Rs 11-15: 5th, 4 pts, minus 11%
Rs 16-18: 6th, 4 points, minus 5%
a trend to a lower state? The base comparison is getting lower though so it could turn around soon.
Unfortunately the only players that might have improved that come to mind are Nasiah and Owens, both great natural talents. And too much might be being asked of Mitchito. The North and Hawks games should see an uptick for the Rs 16-20 stats. (Apologies to the improving players that didn't come to mind, its so cold and windy today).
You didn't answer my question. You named 3 players that have improved and team performance in different periods this season. You haven't named a single player who has regressed in your view.

That's true. Not directly. I am hoping everyone has a blinder on Sunday and its the start of a general progression.

Honestly, what were people expecting this year?
Most pundits had us Bottom 4.
I was hoping for mid table at best.
We were lucky that we had kids playing out of their skins at the start of the year to get some unexpected early wins.
They have tired. Not surprising, we have had to ask to much of them due to injuries.
We knew the list had major issues, you can't change that over night.
We are also lucky that teams around us are also falling down.
Teams sitting 6-8 on the ladder at the moment are worst 6-8 I can remember.
Our Kids will be better for this season and will track their development quicker than expected.
Not sure why everyone is shitting the bed when we are performing exactly how we knew we would.

Just own it FFS stop hiding behind “oh but he hasn’t played Bytel..” type nonsense
It’s ok you don’t like him

How rude. 8-)

I am however pleased that he has finally agreed to play an in and under mid without Lenny having to kick him in the nuts. More than once anyway.

Didn't take a genius to work that out even if it was been 18 or so weeks too late.

He was named in the starting 22 once. In the first round but because of injuries he was dropped from round two.

Named as he sub twice(?) I think.

He has only had one full game to show his wares.

Bytel has had plenty of time and opportunity to show his wares at our club
He was out of contract last year - NO offers from any other club
Why is that????

The dynamic duo of Santa and Potato cakes are the worst thing that has ever happened to Bytel.

The (false) narrative they repeat so consistently has no doubt turned some who were hoping for his success against him.

I just want to keep calling out the misleading statements.

When do you expect the super coach to flick the switch? In July 2025 or will it be earlier?

I think he’s flicked it
P!ssed a few precious players off…that’s ok
P!ssed a few pea hearted supporters off that’s good
I think he’ll bring it all together long before you form an opinion or stop potting him

The 'pea hearted' supporters who've fronted up for 40 or 50 or 60 years, will still be here supporting the club and buying memberships long after employees are long gone.

The 'precious' players have bled for the jumper. I hope ALL employees respect them, whether they are 'stars' in the eyes of an employee or average players or whether they are young blokes learning their craft.

We need leadership that takes everyone along for the journey and creates connection and passion and care for each other. It takes a special kind of person who can create the environment for that to happen
