You may need to change it in your profile if it hasn't changed as yet. If you changed it previously, your default setting will have changed to the blue.

There are other options available saintbrat :)
You can pick the blue, the light red or the ID Launch Black by going into the User Control Panel and Board Preferences. You can switch styles there.

I like the concept of the extreme dark red but find it makes it very difficult when using a small device such as the iPod or iPhone.

Might have to stick to the bluey one for the time being.

Try the black one… seems pretty good.

The black background one, now the default, is difficult to read, because red writing on a black background is the most difficult to read. I won't explain the technical reasons, but think when you go for an eye test. So, I have gone back to the pro_silver red, which is OK. Alas, none of them filter out our resident troll.

I think these colours will become less important once the banner goes up and the joint gets Sainterised.

For me the blue one is the easiest to read, particularly on small devices. Put up the Red, White & Black banner with a few pics of the sponsored players and I'll be happy enough :)

Hmm, feels more like a Counter-Strike clan forum than a footy fan forum, but I'll get used to it eventually.

Or, I'll load up Photoshop and get started on my own design (must... resist... urge).

"Love" the new colours and format. I have been offsite for a couple of weeks during the sleepy season and have just got back on.

Congratulations to all those who have clearly put in plenty of time on this. It's always easy to criticise, but putting in the hard work is what really makes a difference.

one request - we only have four forums - can we have them all linked at top of page so we don't have to bother going through the forum list page to visit any of them. could whack the links on the right hand side of the board index directory above the FAQ , members, logout links.

Desertsaint, there’s a drop down menu bottom right of the page that takes you direct to the other forum areas.

Board index ‹ Saintsational ‹ Saintsational Fan Forum

I just click back to the 'Saintsational' 'see above' rather than go to bottom of page.

or to Baord Index.

Dear battye and team,
New 2012 banner and photos look great across the top of the page.
But I notice they only appear in Extreme Red format.
I've done some hard refreshes and the new images don't appear in Launch_Black (my favourite),
prosilver, or prosilver_red.
Is it possible to copy the new banner over to the other formats, or have I missed something?

Ta.

Firstly, the forum seems to running really well for me - so thanks a lot!

Just wondering if it is possible to make it readable for an iphone app,

The one I have found is free and is called touchBB,\
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/touchbb- ... 58253?mt=8

It requires a file to be uploaded to the forum to work on the phone…

http://www.messageforums.net/iphoneforumreader.php

Be great if that was possible, but no dramas if it isn't,

cheers
dragit

Good thinking. I'd like the forum to be compatible with an app like Tapatalk, which is available on iPhone, Android, Blackberry etc.

battye, i'm getting issues with "remember me" as are a number of others.

this stems from phpbb refusing to set cookies, leaving it falling back to the "&sid=3226fb9ca60aetcetc" url format. not sure why it's refusing to set cookies, but one answer could be given here:

http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1823105

it'd be great if we could get to the bottom of this one.

The colours are dreadful.

Red on dark grey with a smallish font is almost unreadable.

Hi Battye.
Just wondering - i've been looking at an iphone/ipod app called tappatalk - apparently it's supported by phpBB forums but needs the administrator to allow it.
It simply displays the forum in an easy to read setup for smartphones and tablets.
As it costs money for the app before i buy it I wanted to know if you have know anything about it, or have already allowed it, or if not, could you?
cheers,
ds

We use TapaTalk for TrueSainters and also BigFooty uses it. Its a brilliant app for a forum, is very easy to use. If can be used on here id recommend setting it up.
