Can't believe Josh Saunders played in the development squad. In every vfl game I've watched this year he has been in the top 3 or 4 players. Not sure what's going on there

Acres (I am a huge fan) BOG. Love his second efforts and oozes class and time when he has the ball.
Curren was awesome in close and is now unlucky not to be in the ones. Ray was a class above.
Hard calls
Holmes is still two years away at best. His tap work is good and his movement is awesome but once he gets the ball it is so foreign to him still. Highlight of the day though was after he got his goal and the pure delight that he expressed!
Spencer was nowhere today. This was a team he should have been able to blitz. Do not understand him playing forward all game. Could you play him in the centre as he has so much trouble leading to the right areas and finding space.

Completely agree re: Spencer. Was there today too and he was nowhere to be seen. He wasn't leading to the right spots and, when he did, had trouble actually getting his hands to the ball. He did a couple of nice things- but they were few and far between. Honestly, he looked like a first year player out there. Would love to know what's going on with him- whether it's confidence, fitness etc. He is not the same player we saw in Round 22 and 23 last year, that's for sure. He was so impressive on debut- impressive enough that Saints fans were christening him "Buddy" White! Hopefully he can recapture some of that sooner rather than later (though, considering the opposition the Zebs were up against, today would've been a great opportunity to gain some form).

I reckon he might have dropped his bundle when the Saints recruited Membrey and played him first up, probably saw his chance of getting a senior game go down the gurgler?
I keep saying the same things about Tommy but he really is having a very consistent season. He tackled well on the weekend and also had 17 disposals.
Ahmed Saad
Ahmed was up and about and kicked straight this week. He worked hard up and back and finished with four goals amongst 18 disposals and five tackles.
Darren Minchington
Darren had 20 possessions,13 tackles and two goals. His clearance work in the last quarter was exceptional and his game in general was extremely good.
Tom Curren
Tommy had a game high 31 possessions and contributed in all areas, especially in the clearance count. His consistency and work rate across the four quarters was especially impressive.
